Abstract

An absorbent article for wearing about the lower torso of a wearer includes a topsheet, a backsheet joined to at least a portion of the topsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core includes a first layer and a second layer, wherein the first layer is disposed in fluid communication with the second layer. The first layer has a first shape and the second layer has a second shape. The first shape is different from the second shape. Each of the first layer and second layer comprise less than about 20 percent airfelt.

         2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the percent difference in pad attributes between the first absorbent article, the second absorbent article, and the third absorbent article is at least two of:
 i. about 8 to about 29 in pad length; ii. about 7 to about 25 in pad width; and iii. about 8 to about 30 in core width.

         3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the percent difference in pad attributes between the first absorbent article, the second absorbent article, and the third absorbent article is all of:
 i. about 8 to about 29 in pad length; ii. about 7 to about 25 in pad width; and iii. about 8 to about 30 in core width.

         4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the caliper of the first absorbent article, the second absorbent article, and the third absorbent article are substantially the same.

         5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein a capacity of the first absorbent article, the second absorbent article, and the third absorbent article are substantially the same.

         6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein each of the first absorbent article, the second absorbent article, and the third absorbent article is an incontinence pad.

         7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein an actual difference in pad attributes between the first absorbent article, the second absorbent article, and the third absorbent article is at least one of:
 i. about 25 mm to about 75 mm in pad length; ii. about 10 mm to about 30 mm in pad width; and iii. about 10 mm to about 30 mm in core width.

         8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the product selection guide comprises a correlation of the each of the first absorbent article, the second absorbent article, and the third absorbent article to an undergarment size or multiple undergarment sizes.

         9 . A system of absorbent articles, the system comprising:
 a. a first absorbent article comprising a first pad length, a first pad width, and a first core width; b. a second absorbent article comprising a second pad length, a second pad width, and a second core width; c. a third absorbent article comprising a third pad length, a third pad width, and a third core width; d. a product selection guide identifying the first absorbent article, the second absorbent article, and the third absorbent article; e. wherein a capacity of the first absorbent article, the second absorbent article, and the third absorbent article are substantially the same; f. wherein the percent difference in pad attributes between the first absorbent article, the second absorbent article, and the third absorbent article is at least one of:
 i. about 8 to about 29 in pad length;
 ii. about 7 to about 25 in pad width; and
 iii. about 8 to about 30 in core width.

         10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the percent difference in pad attributes between the first absorbent article, the second absorbent article, and the third absorbent article is at least two of:
 i. about 8 to about 29 in pad length; ii. about 7 to about 25 in pad width; and iii. about 8 to about 30 in core width.
