Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An apparatus for trimming plants comprising:
a motor; a first blade operably connected to the motor wherein the first blade is circular and features openings in an arced pattern; and, a second blade wherein the second blade sits below the first blade and features openings in an arced pattern in the opposite direction to the pattern of the first blade.
2 . An apparatus according to claim 1 wherein the motor, the first blade, and the second blade are set into a box-like structure.
3 . An apparatus according to claim 2 wherein the first and second blades are set at a downward angle within the box-like structure.
4 . An apparatus according to claim 2 wherein the box-like structure features a hinged lid.
5 . An apparatus according to claim 4 wherein the hinged lid is transparent.
6 . An apparatus according to claim 4 further comprising a sensor coupled to the lid wherein the sensor shuts off the motor when the lid is opened.
7 . An apparatus according to claim 1 wherein the motor is operable at multiple speeds.
8 . An apparatus according to claim 1 further comprising a sweeper positioned above the first blade.
9 . An apparatus according to claim 8 wherein the height of the sweeper is adjustable.
10 . An apparatus according to claim 1 wherein the bottom of the box features an opening so that the apparatus can be placed on top of a bin to collect the cut leaves.
11 . An apparatus according to claim 1 further comprising a hatch with a door in the front of the box so that a user can collect the trimmed plants by opening the door and allowing the trimmed plants to fall through the hatch.
12 . A method of trimming dried plants comprising:
obtaining a device featuring:
two blades with arced cutting patterns;
a box housing the blades; and,
a motor connected to the top blade;
placing plants to be trimmed on top of the two blades; turning on the motor so that the motor spins the top blade while the bottom blade remains stationary; and, allowing for the blades to trim extrusions off of the dried plants.
13 . A method of trimming dried plants according to claim 12 wherein the two blades feature arced cutting patterns in opposite directions.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
