Claims
Abstract
A blind rivet nut for connecting two components via a screw connection is provided. The blind rivet nut includes a rivet shaft with an internal thread, on the axial first end of which shaft a deformation portion for producing the rivet connection is arranged, wherein a rivet head with a bearing surface for bearing an adjacent component surface is arranged on the axial second end of the rivet shaft. The bearing surface has a radial extent which is designed to be greater than or equal to 1.2 times the radial extent of the rivet shaft.

1 . A blind rivet nut for connecting first and second components via a screw connection, the blind rivet nut comprising:
a rivet shaft having an internal thread, a deformation section of the rivet shaft being arranged at an axial first end to generate a rivet connection; a rivet head arranged at the axial second end of the rivet shaft, the rivet head having a bearing surface that supports an adjacent component surface, wherein the bearing surface has a radial dimension greater than or equal to 1.2 times the radial dimension of the rivet shaft.
2 . The blind rivet nut according to claim 1 , wherein the radial dimension of the bearing surface is between approximately 15 mm and approximately 22 mm.
3 . The blind rivet nut according to claim 2 , wherein the rivet head has a non-circular outer contour.
4 . The blind rivet nut according to claim 3 , wherein the rivet head has a metric hexagon shaped outer contour.
5 . The blind rivet nut according to claim 1 , wherein the rivet head has a non-circular outer contour.
6 . The blind rivet nut according to claim 1 , wherein at least sections of the blind rivet nut are made of a stainless material.
7 . The blind rivet nut according to claim 6 , wherein the stainless material is high-grade steel.
8 . The blind rivet nut according to claim 1 , further comprising a corrosion protective coating provided on at least sections of the blind rivet nut.
9 . The blind rivet nut according to claim 6 , further comprising a corrosion protective coating provided on at least sections of the blind rivet nut.
10 . The blind rivet nut according to claim 1 , wherein, on a side of the rivet head oriented opposite the bearing surface, a sealing surface is provided to seal-off a contacting component surface against liquid entry.
11 . The blind rivet nut according to claim 9 , wherein, on a side of the rivet head oriented opposite the bearing surface, a sealing surface is provided to seal-off a contacting component surface against liquid entry.
12 . A component system, comprising:
a first component having a rivet opening; a second component having a screw opening; a blind rivet nut riveted in the rivet opening of the first component; a screw extending through the screw opening in the second component, wherein the blind rivet nut comprises:
a rivet shaft having an internal thread, a deformation section of the rivet shaft being arranged at an axial first end to generate a rivet connection;
a rivet head arranged at the axial second end of the rivet shaft, the rivet head having a bearing surface that supports an adjacent component surface, wherein
the bearing surface has a radial dimension greater than or equal to 1.2 times the radial dimension of the rivet shaft, wherein
the screw extending through the screw opening in the second component is screwed into the internal thread of the rivet shaft, and a first component surface of the second component rests on the bearing surface of the rivet head.
13 . The component system according to claim 12 , wherein the radial dimension of the bearing surface is between approximately 15 mm and approximately 22 mm.
14 . The component system according to claim 12 , wherein the rivet head has a non-circular outer contour.
15 . The component system according to claim 12 , wherein the rivet head has a metric hexagon shaped outer contour.
16 . The component system according to claim 12 , wherein at least sections of the blind rivet nut are made of a stainless material.
17 . The component system according to claim 12 , further comprising a corrosion protective coating provided on at least sections of the blind rivet nut.
18 . The component system according to claim 12 , further comprising:
a shim arranged between a screw head of the screw and a second component surface of the second component, wherein the radial dimension of the bearing surface of the rivet head is greater than or equal to a radial dimension of the shim.
19 . The component system according to claim 18 , wherein the screw opening is geometrically designed such that a width is smaller than the radial dimension of the bearing surface of the rivet and a longitudinal direction is larger than the radial dimension of the bearing surface of the rivet head.
20 . The component system according to claim 12 , wherein the screw opening is geometrically designed such that a width is smaller than the radial dimension of the bearing surface of the rivet and a longitudinal direction is larger than the radial dimension of the bearing surface of the rivet head.Cited by (0)
