Abstract
A skid steer machine is provided including a frame and a cab supported on the frame. A lift arm assembly includes a pair of lift arms each of which is pivotally supported on the frame at the rear end thereof for movement between a raised position and a lowered position. A pair of combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stops are provided with each combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stop being supported on the frame adjacent the forward end of the frame and adjacent a respective lateral side of the frame. Each combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stop includes a cab mount surface and a lift arm stop surface with the lift arm stop surface being arranged outwardly and upwardly relative to the cab mount surface.

1 . A skid steer machine comprising:
a frame having a forward end, a rear end and opposing lateral sides; a cab supported on the frame; a lift arm assembly including a pair of lift arms, each lift arm being pivotally supported on the frame at the rear end thereof for movement between a raised position and a lowered position, each lift arm extending along a respective lateral side of the frame; and a pair of combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stops, each combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stop being supported on the frame adjacent the front end of the frame and adjacent a respective lateral side of the frame, each combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stop including a cab mount surface and a lift arm stop surface with the lift arm stop surface being arranged outwardly and upwardly relative to the frame and the cab mount surface, the cab mount surface supporting a respective forward portion of the cab and the stop surface being arranged and configured to engage a respective one of the lift arms when it is moved to the lowered position.
2 . The skid steer machine of claim 1 wherein each cab mount surface extends in a plane substantially parallel to a surface over which the skid steer is traveling.
3 . The skid steer machine of claim 2 wherein each stop surface extends at a downward angle relative to the cab mount surface.
4 . The skid steer machine of claim 1 wherein each cab mount surface connects to the respective stop surface through an upstanding wall portion.
5 . The skid steer machine of claim 1 wherein the stop surface is provided on a plate that includes a plurality of support ribs on an underside thereof.
6 . The skid steer machine of claim 1 wherein each combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stop includes a guide wall that extends upward from the stop surface.
7 . The skid steer machine of claim 1 wherein each cab mount surface is supported on the frame by an upstanding wall.
8 . A frame assembly for a skid steer machine having a cab and a lift arm assembly including a pair of lift arms, the frame assembly comprising:
a frame; a pair of lift arm supports each arranged adjacent a rear end of the frame and adjacent a respective lateral side of the frame, each lift arm support being configured to pivotally support a respective lift arm for movement between a raised position and a lowered position with each lift arm extending along a respective lateral side of the frame; and a pair of combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stops, each combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stop being supported on the frame near a front end of the frame and near a respective lateral side of the frame, each combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stop including a cab mount surface and a lift arm stop surface with the lift arm stop surface being arranged outwardly and upwardly relative to the cab mount surface, each cab mount surface being arranged and configured to support a respective forward portion of the cab and each stop surface being arranged and configured to engage a respective one of the lift arms when the lift arm is moved to the lowered position.
9 . The frame of claim 8 wherein each cab mount surface extends in a plane substantially parallel to a surface over which the skid steer is traveling.
10 . The frame of claim 9 wherein each stop surface extends at a downward angle relative to the cab mount surface.
11 . The frame of claim 8 wherein each cab mount surface connects to the respective stop surface through an upstanding wall portion.
12 . The frame of claim 8 wherein the stop surface is provided on a plate that includes a plurality of support ribs on an underside thereof.
13 . The frame of claim 8 wherein each combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stop includes a guide wall that extends upward from the stop surface.
14 . The frame of claim 8 wherein each cab mount surface is supported on the frame by an upstanding wall.
15 . A combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stop for a skid steer machine having a cab and a lift arm assembly including a pair of lift arms pivotally supported for movement between a raised position and a lowered position with each lift arm extending along a respective lateral side of the frame, the combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stop comprising:
a mounting bracket portion including a cab mount surface arranged and configured to support a portion of the cab; and a lift arm stop portion including a lift arm stop surface with the lift arm stop surface arranged and configured to engage a respective one of the lift arms when it is moved to the lowered position.
16 . The combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stop of claim 15 wherein the stop surface extends at a downward angle relative to the cab mount surface.
17 . The combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stop of claim 15 wherein the cab mount surface connects to the stop surface through an upstanding wall portion.
18 . The combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stop of claim 15 wherein the stop surface is provided on a plate that includes a plurality of support ribs on an underside thereof.
19 . The combination cab mounting bracket and lift arm stop of claim 15 further including a guide wall that extends upward from the stop surface.
