Side bearing for bogie of a railway car
Abstract
(57) A side bearing for a bogie of a railway car is provided limiting reciprocal movement of the bogie and underframe of a railway car. The side bearing comprises a support cap (1) mounted spring loaded by means of resilient members (2) into a box-like supporting body (3). Further, the side bearing comprises a limiter (4) locked in the box-like supporting body (3). The limiter (4) can be formed as a stud, bolt or rod extending through aligned continuous slots (1.1) and (3.1) which are provided through guiding walls of the box-like supporting body (3) and guiding walls of the support cap (1). Using the limiter for the support cap (4) provides permanent or one-piece interconnection between the support cap (1) and the box-like supporting body (3) both during operation and maintenance of a railway car.
