Abstract
A data storage device includes a nonvolatile memory apparatus suitable for accessing a target region corresponding to an access command, and a processor suitable for calculating a first hash value corresponding to the target region based on a first hash function, and updating an access count that is indexed by the first hash value.

1 . A data storage device comprising:
a nonvolatile memory apparatus suitable for accessing a target region corresponding to an access command; and a processor suitable for calculating a first hash value corresponding to the target region based on a first hash function, and updating an access count that is indexed by the first hash value.
2 . The data storage device of claim 1 , wherein the processor calculates the first hash value based on an address of the target region.
3 . The data storage device of claim 1 ,
wherein the first hash value commonly corresponds to a plurality of regions of the nonvolatile memory apparatus, and wherein the processor updates the access count that is indexed by the first hash value when accessing any one of the plurality of regions.
4 . The data storage device of claim 3 , wherein the plurality of regions correspond to different word lines.
5 . The data storage device of claim 1 , wherein the processor updates the access count by increasing the access count.
6 . The data storage device of claim 5 , wherein the processor compares the updated access count with a threshold, and performs a data inspection operation for one or more neighboring regions that are adjacent to the target region according to the comparison.
7 . The data storage device of claim 6 , wherein the processor decreases the increased access count after performing the data inspection operation for the neighboring regions.
8 . The data storage device of claim 1 , wherein the processor calculates a second hash value corresponding to the target region based on a second hash function, and updates an access count that is indexed by the second hash value.
9 . A data storage device comprising:
a nonvolatile memory apparatus including a plurality of regions corresponding to a single hash value; and a processor suitable for managing a common access count of the plurality of regions, wherein the access count is indexed by the hash value.
10 . The data storage device of claim 9 , wherein the plurality of regions correspond to different word lines.
11 . The data storage device of claim 9 , wherein the process comprises a hashing unit suitable for calculating the hash value based on an address of one of the plurality of regions.
12 . The data storage device of claim 9 , wherein the processor increases the access count when accessing a target region, which is one of the plurality of regions.
13 . The data storage device of claim 12 , wherein the processor compares the increased access count with a threshold, and performs a data inspection operation for one or more neighboring regions adjacent to the target region according to the comparison.
14 . The data storage device of claim 13 , wherein the processor decreases the increased access count after performing the data inspection operation for the neighboring regions.
15 . A method for operating a data storage device, comprising:
in response to an access command, accessing a target region among a plurality of regions which correspond to a single hash value; and increasing an access count that is indexed by the hash value.
16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the plurality of regions correspond to different word lines.
17 . The method of claim 15 , further comprising:
calculating the hash value based on an address of the target region.
18 . The method of claim 15 , further comprising:
comparing the increased access count with a threshold; and performing a data inspection operation for one or more neighboring regions that is adjacent to the target region according to the comparison.
19 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the performing of the data inspection operation for the neighboring region comprises:
reading data stored in the neighboring regions; checking an error occurrence rate of the data read from the neighboring regions; and performing selectively a reclaim operation for recovering the data stored in the neighboring regions according to the error occurrence rate.
