Method for channel assignments in wireless systems
Abstract
A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) includes a receiver configured to receive first information from a wireless network, the first information indicating a first pattern of time intervals in which the WTRU is to monitor a plurality of control channels. The WTRU further includes a baseband processor operatively coupled to the receiver, the baseband processor and the receiver configured to not monitor the plurality of control channels in time intervals outside the first pattern of time intervals. The receiver is configured to receive a downlink shared channel transmission from the wireless network. The baseband processor is operatively coupled to a transmitter, and the baseband processor and the transmitter are configured to transmit an indication of an outcome of a decoding attempt of the downlink shared channel transmission a fixed number of timeslots after transmission of the downlink shared channel transmission. The indication may be transmitted on an uplink control channel.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), comprising:
a receiver configured to receive first information from a wireless network, the first information indicating a first pattern of time intervals in which the WTRU is to monitor a plurality of control channels; a baseband processor operatively coupled to the receiver, the baseband processor and the receiver configured to not monitor the plurality of control channels in time intervals outside the first pattern of time intervals; the receiver configured to receive a downlink shared channel transmission; and the baseband processor operatively coupled to a transmitter, the baseband processor and the transmitter configured to transmit an indication of an outcome of a decoding attempt of the downlink shared channel transmission a fixed number of timeslots after transmission of the downlink shared channel transmission.
2 . The WTRU of claim 1 wherein the indication is transmitted on an uplink control channel.
3 . The WTRU of claim 1 wherein the indication indicates that the outcome of the decoding attempt was successful.
4 . The WTRU of claim 1 wherein the indication indicates that the outcome of the decoding attempt was unsuccessful.
5 . A method at a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), comprising:
receiving first information from a wireless network, the first information indicating a first pattern of time intervals in which the WTRU is to monitor a plurality of control channels; monitoring the plurality of control channels in the first pattern of time intervals and not monitoring the plurality of control channels in time intervals outside the first pattern of time intervals; receiving a downlink shared channel transmission; and transmitting an indication of an outcome of a decoding attempt of the downlink shared channel transmission a fixed number of timeslots after transmission of the downlink shared channel transmission.
6 . The method of claim 5 wherein the indication is transmitted on an uplink control channel.
7 . The method of claim 5 wherein the indication indicates that the outcome of the decoding attempt was successful.
8 . The method of claim 5 wherein the indication indicates that the outcome of the decoding attempt was unsuccessful.
9 . A wireless network device, comprising:
a baseband processor operatively coupled to a transmitter, the baseband processor and the transmitter configured to transmit first information to a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), the first information indicating a first pattern of time intervals in which the WTRU is to monitor a plurality of control channels, wherein the transmitter does not transmit shared channel allocation information to the WTRU in the plurality of control channels outside the first pattern of time intervals; the baseband processor and the transmitter configured to transmit a downlink shared channel transmission; and a receiver operatively coupled to the baseband processor, the receiver configured to receive an indication of an outcome of a decoding attempt of the downlink shared channel transmission a fixed number of timeslots after transmission of the downlink shared channel transmission.
10 . The network device of claim 9 wherein the indication is received on an uplink control channel.
11 . The network device of claim 9 wherein the indication indicates that the outcome of the decoding attempt was successful.
12 . The network device of claim 9 wherein the indication indicates that the outcome of the decoding attempt was unsuccessful.Cited by (0)
