Abstract
The disclosure concerns accessories configured to engage with a ratchet belt system for display and storage thereof. A hanging accessory includes a planar body portion, a tongue extending from the planar body portion, and one or more notch strips disposed on the tongue and configured to engage a buckle of the ratchet belt system.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An article for hanging a ratchet belt, comprising:
a planar body portion comprising a hanger slot extending from a first edge of the planar body portion toward a center thereof; a tongue extending from the planar body portion; each of the planar body portion and the tongue extending along a longitudinal axis and disposed within a longitudinal plane; and at least one notch strip longitudinally disposed along at least a first surface of the tongue, the at least one notch strip being configured to engage a buckle of the ratchet belt for hanging the ratchet belt therefrom; characterized in that: said notch strip comprises a plurality of notches each disposed adjacent to one another along at least a portion of the longitudinal axis; and each of said notches includes:
a vertical wall extending vertically from the tongue in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal plane, and
a tapered surface extending from a terminus of the vertical wall to the first surface of the tongue forming a tapered volume therebetween.
2 . The article of claim 1 , wherein the tongue comprises a tongue width configured to nest within the ratchet belt.
3 . The article of claim 1 , wherein the at least one notch strip comprises a first notch strip and a second notch strip each disposed in a side by side configuration.
4 . The article of claim 1 , wherein the planar body portion comprises a body width at a widest section of the body portion, and the body width of the planar body portion is greater than the tongue width for stopping the buckle at the junction of the tongue and the planar body portion.
5 . The article of claim 1 , wherein the hanger slot is configured to receive and engage a closet dowel.
6 . The article of claim 1 , wherein the hanger slot is configured to receive and engage a slat wall hook.
7 . The article of claim 1 , comprising a first tongue and a second tongue each extending from the planar body portion, wherein each of the first and second tongues is configured to receive and engage a respective ratchet buckle.
8 . An article for hanging a ratchet belt, comprising: a planar body portion having a hanger slot disposed therein, wherein the hanger slot is configured to receive and engage at least a portion of a hanging fixture; a tongue extending from the planar body portion; each of the planar body portion and the tongue extending along a longitudinal axis and disposed within a longitudinal plane; and at least one notch strip longitudinally disposed along at least a first surface of the tongue, the at least one notch strip being configured to engage a buckle of the ratchet belt for hanging the ratchet belt therefrom; wherein said notch strip comprises a plurality of notches each disposed adjacent to one another along at least a portion of the longitudinal axis; and each of said notches includes: a vertical wall extending vertically from the tongue in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal plane, and a tapered surface extending from a terminus of the vertical wall to the first surface of the tongue forming a tapered volume therebetween.Cited by (0)
