Abstract

A treatment regimen for psoriasis includes administering to a patient diagnosed with psoriasis periodic doses of a combination including emodin and digoxin, or a combination of emodin, digoxin, Sheng Di Huang, Da Huang and Jin Yin Hua, or a combination of emodin, digoxin, Sheng Di Huang, Da Huang, Jin Yin Hua, Mu Dan Pi, Di Gu Pi, Xian He Cao and Chun Gen Pi.

1 . A method of treating psoriasis, comprising administering to a patient diagnosed with psoriasis a treatment regimen, wherein said method comprises:
 administering a dosage composition comprising methotrexate; and   administering a medicinal combination comprising 40 wt. % or more of Sheng Di Huang, and 10 wt. % or more of Da Huang.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the method further includes administering 10 wt. % or more of Jin Yin Hua. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , comprising administering the medicinal combination topically. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 2 , comprising administering the medicinal combination orally. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 2 , comprising administering the medicinal combination subcutaneously. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 2 , comprising administering the medicinal combination intravenously. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 2 , comprising administering multiple doses over the duration of the treatment regimen, and wherein over the duration of said treatment regimen, the Sheng Di Huang is administered in an amount of 25 grams to 60 grams, the Da Huang is administered in an amount of 10 grams to 30 grams, and the Jin Yin Hua is administered in an amount of 10 grams to 30 grams. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the treatment regimen comprises at least 50% Sheng Di Huang, at least 12.5% Da Huang and at least 12.5% Jin Yin Hua. 
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the treatment regimen comprises at least 40% Sheng Di Huang and at least 10% Da Huang. 
     
     
         10 . A method of treating psoriasis comprising administering to a patient diagnosed with psoriasis a treatment regimen, wherein said method comprises:
 administering a dosage composition comprising methotrexate; and   administering a medicinal combination comprising 40 wt. % or more of Sheng Di Huang, 10 wt. % or more of Da Huang, and 10 wt. % or more of Jin Yin Hua.   
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 10 , comprising administering multiple doses of said medicinal combination over the duration of the treatment regimen, and wherein over the duration of said treatment regimen, the Sheng Di Huang is administered in an amount of 25 grams to 45 grams, the Da Huang is administered in an amount of 10 grams to 25 grams, and the Jin Yin Hua is administered in an amount of 10 grams to 25 grams. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein over the course of said treatment regimen, the Sheng Di Huang is administered in an amount of 30 grams to 45 grams, the Da Huang is administered in an amount of 15 grams to 25 grams, and the Jin Yin Hua is administered in an amount of 15 grams to 25 grams. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 12 , wherein over the course of said treatment regimen, the Sheng Di Huang is administered in an amount of 30 grams to 40 grams, the Da Huang is administered in an amount of 15 grams to 20 grams, and the Jin Yin Hua is administered in an amount of 15 grams to 20 grams. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 10 , comprising administering the medicinal combination topically. 
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 10 , comprising administering the medicinal combination orally. 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 10 , comprising administering the medicinal combination subcutaneously. 
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 10 , comprising administering the medicinal combination intravenously. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 10 , comprising administering multiple doses of the medicinal combination over the course of said treatment regiment, wherein the treatment regimen comprises at least 13.3 grams of Sheng Di Huang and at least 3.3 grams of Da Huang and at least 3.3 grams of Jin Yin Hua. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 10 , wherein the treatment regimen comprises at least 50% Sheng Di Huang, at least 12.5% Da Huang and at least 12.5% Jin Yin Hua. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 10 , comprising administering the medicinal combination topically and orally. 
     
     
         21 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising testing the patient for psoriasis. 
     
     
         22 . The method of  claim 10 , further comprising testing the patient for psoriasis.
