Claims

Abstract

An information processing apparatus includes a 3D(three dimensional)-matrix arranging portion and a luminance/transmittance display controller portion. When a plurality of contents are list-displayed, the 3D-matrix arranging portion arranges the plurality of contents in a 3D-matrix-like form (“3D-matrix,” hereinbelow) in accordance with predetermined three axes. The 3D matrix includes a plurality of planes each containing a group of contents of the plurality of contents. The luminance/transmittance display controller portion displays on a display portion the respective groups of contents of the plurality of contents arranged in the 3D matrix, in a manner that luminance is gradually reduced in a direction from contents on a front-most plane of the plurality of planes to contents on a rear-most plane, and transmittance is gradually increased in the direction from the contents on the front-most plane to the contents on the rear-most plane.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A mobile apparatus, comprising:
 an input operation interface located on a housing of the mobile apparatus; and   an information processing apparatus within the housing of the mobile apparatus, and including
 a 3D-matrix arranging portion configured to rearrange a plurality of contents into a 3D-matrix in accordance with predetermined three axes, wherein the 3D-matrix includes a plurality of planes each containing a respective group of contents of the plurality of contents; and 
 a luminance/transmittance display controller portion configured to display the respective groups of contents of the plurality of contents arranged in the 3D-matrix by the 3D-matrix arranging portion, 
   wherein the respective ones of the plurality of contents include a plurality of metadata items, the respective ones of the plurality of metadata items are of different types from one another, and respective ones of the three axes correspond to different types of metadata items of the plurality of contents.   
     
     
         2 . The mobile apparatus according to  claim 1 , the information processing apparatus further comprising a rotational display controller portion configured to, when a rotational operation is performed by using the input operation interface, perform rotational display control to rotationally display the entirety of the plurality of contents arranged in the 3D-matrix, along a direction corresponding to the rotational operation. 
     
     
         3 . The mobile apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein:
 the plurality of contents are a plurality of still image contents; and   the 3D-matrix arranging portion is configured to arrange the plurality of still image contents in the 3D-matrix in accordance with three axes respectively representing an imaged time of respective one of the still image contents, a color tone of the respective one of the still image contents, and a user imaged on the respective one of the still image contents.   
     
     
         4 . The mobile apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the luminance/transmittance display controller portion is configured to display the respective group of contents in a manner that luminance is gradually reduced in a direction from contents on a front-most plane of the plurality of planes to contents on a rear-most plane, and transmittance is gradually increased in the direction from the contents on the front-most plane to the contents on the rear-most plane. 
     
     
         5 . The mobile apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the 3D-matrix arranging portion is configured to determine the plurality of metadata items based on a comparison between respective ones of the plurality of contents. 
     
     
         6 . The mobile apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the 3D-matrix arranging portion is configured to determine the plurality of metadata items based on a comparison between a respective one of the plurality of contents and an item stored in memory. 
     
     
         7 . The mobile apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein respective ones of the different types of metadata items are selected from a group comprising date, imaged time, transmission/reception time, face recognition data, user ID, and color tone. 
     
     
         8 . The mobile apparatus according to  claim 1 , the information processing apparatus further including:
 a controller portion configured to, in response to an operation of the input operation interface, activate an application program corresponding to a content of the plurality of contents that is focus-positioned.   
     
     
         9 . The mobile apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the 3D-matrix arranging portion is configured to, when the plurality of contents are list-displayed and in response to an operation of the input operation interface, determine the plurality of metadata items for the respective ones of the plurality of contents. 
     
     
         10 . An information processing method for a mobile apparatus with a housing that includes an input operation interface, the method comprising:
 when a plurality of contents are list-displayed rearranging a plurality of contents into a 3D-matrix in accordance with predetermined three axes, wherein the 3D-matrix includes a plurality of planes each containing a respective group of contents of the plurality of contents; and   displaying the respective groups of contents of the plurality of contents arranged in the 3D-matrix by a 3D-matrix arranging portion,   wherein the respective ones of the plurality of contents include a plurality of metadata items, the respective ones of the plurality of metadata items are of different types from one another, and respective ones of the three axes correspond to different types of metadata items of the plurality of contents.   
     
     
         11 . The information processing method according to  claim 10 , further comprising, when a rotational operation is performed by using the input operation interface, performing rotational display control to rotationally display the entirety of the plurality of contents arranged in the 3D-matrix, along a direction corresponding to the rotational operation. 
     
     
         12 . The information processing method according to  claim 10 , wherein:
 the plurality of contents are a plurality of still image contents; and   the method further comprises arranging the plurality of still image contents in the 3D-matrix in accordance with three axes respectively representing an imaged time of respective one of the still image contents, a color tone of the respective one of the still image contents, and a user imaged on the respective one of the still image contents.   
     
     
         13 . The information processing method according to  claim 10 , comprising displaying the respective group of contents in a manner that luminance is gradually reduced in a direction from contents on a front-most plane of the plurality of planes to contents on a rear-most plane, and transmittance is gradually increased in the direction from the contents on the front-most plane to the contents on the rear-most plane. 
     
     
         14 . The information processing method according to  claim 10 , comprising determining the plurality of metadata items based on a comparison between respective ones of the plurality of contents. 
     
     
         15 . The information processing method according to  claim 10 , comprising determining the plurality of metadata items based on a comparison between a respective one of the plurality of contents and an item stored in memory. 
     
     
         16 . The information processing method according to  claim 10 , wherein respective ones of the different types of metadata items are selected from a group comprising date, imaged time, transmission/reception time, face recognition data, user ID, and color tone. 
     
     
         17 . The information processing method according to  claim 10 , further comprising:
 in response to an operation of the input operation interface, activating an application program corresponding to a content of the plurality of contents that is focus-positioned.   
     
     
         18 . The information processing method according to  claim 10 , further comprising:
 when the plurality of contents are list displayed an in response to an operation of the input operation interface, determining the plurality of metadata items for the respective ones of the plurality of contents.   
     
     
         19 . A mobile apparatus, comprising:
 a processor;   an input operation interface; and   a memory including a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the mobile apparatus to perform operations comprising:
 causing the mobile apparatus to rearrange a plurality of contents into a 3D-matrix in accordance with predetermined three axes, wherein the 3D-matrix includes a plurality of planes each containing a respective group of contents of the plurality of contents; and 
 causing the mobile apparatus to display the respective groups of contents of the plurality of contents arranged in the 3D-matrix by the 3D-matrix arranging portion, 
   wherein the respective ones of the plurality of contents include a plurality of metadata items, the respective ones of the plurality of metadata items are of different types from one another, and respective ones of the three axes correspond to different types of metadata items of the plurality of contents.
