Abstract

An information processing apparatus, method, and recording medium which acquire movement trace information and automatically determine a division point for dividing the movement trace information based on an analysis result of the movement trace information. Optionally a movement trace track is generated from the movement trace. Various criteria used for how the division points are generated include using distance and time; altitudes; repeated track; mode of transportation; and lapse of data, for example.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An information processing apparatus comprising:
 circuitry configured to:
automatically divide movement trace information stored on a non-transitory computer readable medium at a division point into one or more movement trace segments, wherein one or more pieces of position information, included in the movement trace information, are contained within a predetermined position range; and
control to display a trace image corresponding to the one or more movement trace segments on a display.

2 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the one or more pieces of position information are sequentially contained within the predetermined position range.

3 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the circuitry is further configured to determine a part of the movement trace information, which corresponds to the one or more pieces of position information sequentially contained within the predetermined position range, as a stay part.

4 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the one or more pieces of position information are continuously contained within the predetermined position range for a predetermined period of time.

5 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the predetermined position range is specified by a circle of a predetermined radius.

6 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein a movement trace track, including the one or more movement trace segments, is generated from the movement trace information.

7 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 6 , wherein the movement trace track is represented by a bar having a length according to a movement time.

8 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 6 , wherein the movement trace track is played in combination with a content track.

9 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein the circuitry is configured to generate the content track from content data.

10 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 9 , wherein the content data comprises at least one of a photograph, a video recording or an audio recording.

11 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the circuitry is configured to add one or more attribute parameters to each of the movement trace segments based on the movement trace information, wherein the one or more attribute parameters comprise one or more of a track name, a name indicating a position, a date, a time, a movement distance, time required, and a means of transportation.

12 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the trace image includes a movement trace corresponding to the one or more movement trace segments, a visual representation of the division point of the movement trace information, time of a start point of the one or more movement trace segments, and a symbol representing a playback position of the one or more movement trace segments.

13 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 12 , wherein the movement trace corresponding to the one or more movement trace segments of the trace image is expressed based on altitude information.

14 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 12 , wherein the movement trace corresponding to the one or more movement trace segments of the trace image is based on time information associated with the movement trace.

15 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 12 , wherein a change in the movement trace of the trace image is expressed by changing one or more parameters of a line used to express the movement trace.

16 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 12 , wherein the one or more parameters includes at least one of a type of the line, a color of the line, and a width of the line.

17 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 12 , wherein the symbol representing the playback position corresponds to a means of transportation.

18 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the trace image is displayed with information including movement distance, time required for the movement, average speed, maximum speed, altitude difference, or calories burned corresponding to the trace image.

19 . An information processing method comprising:
automatically dividing movement trace information stored on a non-transitory computer readable medium at a division point into one or more movement trace segments, wherein one or more pieces of position information, included in the movement trace information, are contained within a predetermined position range; and controlling display of a trace image corresponding to the one or more movement trace segments on a display.

20 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon a set of computer-executable instructions for causing a computer to perform steps comprising:
