Abstract
A system for recommending content based on the audience, implemented by a computing processor, detects content that is to be transmitted to an audience. The system receives a user profile associated with the audience, and scores the content against the user profile to produce a rating. The content is weighted based on at least one attribute associated with the user profile. The system invokes an action in response to the rating.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method for recommending content based on the audience, implemented by a computing processor, the method comprising:
detecting, by the computing processor, content that is to be transmitted to an audience; receiving, by the computing processor, a user profile associated with the audience; scoring, by the computing processor, the content against the user profile to produce a rating, wherein the content is weighted based on at least one attribute associated with the user profile; and invoking, by the computing processor, an action in response to the rating.
2 . The method of claim 1 wherein receiving the user profile associated with the audience comprises:
associating the at least one attribute with the audience; and
weighting the at least one attribute based on an importance of the at least one attribute to the audience.
3 . The method of claim 2 wherein associating the at least one attribute with the audience comprises:
determining the audience is comprised of a plurality of users;
identifying at least one user attribute associated with each of the plurality of users;
for each of the at least one user attributes, creating a composite attribute; and
associating the composite attribute with the audience.
4 . The method of claim 3 wherein creating the composite attribute comprises:
identifying an outlier attribute; and
incorporating the outlier attribute into the composite attribute by weighting the outlier attribute more than a non-outlier attribute.
5 . The method of claim 4 wherein incorporating the outlier attribute into the composite attribute by weighting the outlier attribute more than a non-outlier attribute comprises:
creating the composite attribute from the outlier attribute.
6 . The method of claim 2 wherein weighting the at least one attribute based on the importance of the at least one attribute to the audience comprises:
weighting the at least one attribute to effectively communicate with the audience.
7 . The method of claim 6 wherein weighting the at least one attribute to effectively communicate with the audience comprises:
weighting the at least one attribute to reduce a risk of offending the audience.
8 . The method of claim 1 wherein scoring the content against the user profile to produce the rating, wherein the content is weighted based on the at least one attribute associated with the user profile comprises:
ranking at least one vocabulary word associated with the content according to an effective communication rating for the audience;
comparing the ranking of the at least one vocabulary word to the at least one attribute associated with the user profile; and
producing a score of how effective the at least one vocabulary word is in communicating to the audience associated with the user profile.
9 . The method of claim 1 wherein invoking the action in response to the rating comprises:
identifying ineffectively communicated content; and
performing at least one of:
i) suggesting at least one substitution for the ineffectively communicated content; and
ii) automatically modifying the ineffectively communicated content.
10 . The method of claim 1 wherein invoking the action in response to the rating comprises:
automatically censoring at least one of:
i) offensive content;
ii) misleading content; and
iii) ineffectively communicated content.
11 . The method of claim 1 wherein invoking the action in response to the rating comprises:
automatically modifying at least one of:
i) offensive content; and
ii) misleading content.
12 . The method of claim 1 wherein invoking the action in response to the rating comprises:
determining the audience is comprised of at least two users;
replicating the content; and
modifying each of the replicated content according to the respective user profile associated with each of the at least two users, wherein the modifying may be performed by at least one of:
i) automatically modifying the content; and
ii) allowing a user to modify the content.Cited by (0)
