Demountable/modular structure system

Abstract

A demountable structure system is disclosed. The demountable structure system may have a roof system positioned atop one or more structural panel(s) and a floor system positioned beneath one or more structural panels(s). The structural panels may have different shapes, configurations, and features, and may support the roof system in order to form a demountable structure. Alternatively, the roof system is omitted and a wall or other structure can be formed from the structural panels. Each structural panel may have other features, such as finish panels, fabric panels, accessory mounts, recessed lighting, electrical outlets, etc. Some structural panels have sound dampening features, such as to form portable musician's sound booth. Thus, a structure may be formed which is both readily disassembled, yet also sturdy.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A demountable structure, comprising:
 a first demountable structural panel comprising a first joining edge, wherein the first joining edge comprises a first joining member which protrudes from the first joining edge;   a second demountable structural panel comprising a second joining edge, wherein the second joining edge comprises a second joining member which is a recess and has a recess shape complementary to the first joining member;   wherein the first joining member removably couples to the second joining member.   
     
     
         2 . The demountable structure of  claim 1 , wherein a sound dampening material is disposed between the first joining edge and the second joining edge. 
     
     
         3 . The demountable structure of  claim 1 , wherein the first demountable structural panel comprises a first internal structure and the second demountable structural panel comprises a second internal structure, wherein the first internal structure and the second internal structure each comprise an inner panel, an outer panel, and an internal pocket therebetween. 
     
     
         4 . The demountable structure of  claim 3 , wherein the internal pocket comprises at least one of a wire chase, a ballast, an insulation material, or a sound dampening material. 
     
     
         5 . The demountable structure of  claim 4 , wherein the ballast comprises a bladder configured to hold a liquid. 
     
     
         6 . The demountable structure of  claim 1 , further comprising a demountable finish panel coupled to a first panel face of the first demountable structural panel. 
     
     
         7 . The demountable structure of  claim 1 , wherein the first joining member is a cam and the second joining member is a cam receiver. 
     
     
         8 . The demountable structure of  claim 1 , wherein the second demountable structural panel is a corner panel comprising a first section and a second section disposed at a first angle relative to the first section, wherein the second joining edge is comprised on the first section, and a third joining edge is comprised on the second section. 
     
     
         9 . The demountable structure of  claim 1 , wherein the first joining edge comprises a first electrical connector having a first connector shape and the second joining edge comprises a second electrical connector having a second connector shape that is complementary to the first connector shape, wherein the first electrical connector removably couples to the second electrical connector such that the first electrical connector is in electrical continuity with the second electrical connector. 
     
     
         10 . The demountable structure of  claim 1 , further comprising a roof system. 
     
     
         11 . The demountable structure of  claim 10 , wherein the roof system comprises at least one of a pyramid roof, a dome roof, a staggered triangle roof, or a louvered panel roof. 
     
     
         12 . The demountable structure of  claim 10 , further comprising an accessory mount coupled to the roof system. 
     
     
         13 . A demountable structure, comprising:
 a first structural panel comprising a first joining edge, wherein the first joining edge comprises a first joining member;   a second structural panel comprising a second joining edge, wherein the second joining edge comprises a second joining member;   wherein the first joining member removably couples to the second joining member.   
     
     
         14 . The demountable structure of  claim 13 , wherein the first structural panel comprises a first internal structure and the second structural panel comprises a second internal structure, wherein the first internal structure and the second internal structure each comprise an inner panel, an outer panel, and an internal pocket therebetween. 
     
     
         15 . The demountable structure of  claim 14 , wherein the internal pocket comprises at least one of a wire chase, a ballast, an insulation material, or a sound dampening material. 
     
     
         16 . The demountable structure of  claim 13 , wherein the first structural panel comprises a first panel face and a structural panel mounting bracket coupled to the first panel face. 
     
     
         17 . The demountable structure of  claim 16 , further comprising a demountable finish panel comprising a finish panel mounting bracket coupled to a finish panel face, wherein the finish panel mounting bracket is removably coupled to the structural panel mounting bracket. 
     
     
         18 . The demountable structure of  claim 13 , further comprising a roof system. 
     
     
         19 . A demountable structure, comprising:
 a first demountable structural panel comprising a first panel face, a first proximal edge, a first distal edge, and a first top edge spanning between the first proximal edge and the first distal edge, and wherein the first top edge comprises a first joining member;   a second demountable structural panel comprising a second panel face, a second proximal edge, a second distal edge, and a second top edge spanning between the second proximal edge and the second distal edge, wherein the second proximal edge is removably coupled to the first distal edge, and wherein the second top edge comprises a second joining member;   a third demountable structural panel comprising a third panel face, a third proximal edge, a third distal edge, and a third top edge spanning between the third proximal edge and the third distal edge, wherein the third proximal edge is removably coupled to the second distal edge, and wherein the third top edge comprises a third joining member; and   a fourth demountable structural panel comprising a fourth panel face, a fourth proximal edge, a fourth distal edge, and a fourth top edge spanning between the fourth proximal edge and the fourth distal edge, wherein the fourth proximal edge is removably coupled to the third distal edge and the fourth distal edge is removably coupled to the first proximal edge, and wherein the fourth top edge comprises a fourth joining member.   
     
     
         20 . The demountable structure of  claim 19 , further comprising a roof system comprising a roof inner face, a first roof joining edge disposed on the roof inner face comprising a first joining receiver, a second roof joining edge disposed on the roof inner face comprising a second joining receiver, a third roof joining edge disposed on the roof inner face comprising a third joining receiver, and a fourth roof joining edge disposed on the roof inner face comprising a fourth joining receiver,
 wherein the first joining receiver removably couples to the first joining member, the second joining receiver removably couples to the second joining member, the third joining receiver removably couples to the third joining member, and the fourth joining receiver removably couples to the fourth joining member,   wherein the first demountable structural panel, the second demountable structural panel, the third demountable structural panel, the fourth demountable structural panel, and the roof system form an enclosed cube.   
     
     
         21 . The demountable structure of  claim 19 , wherein at least one of the first demountable structural panel, the second demountable structural panel, the third demountable structural panel, or the fourth demountable structural panel comprises an internal structure, wherein the internal structure comprises an inner panel, an outer panel, and an internal pocket therebetween, wherein the internal pocket comprises at least one of a wire chase, a ballast, an insulation material, or a sound dampening material.
