Abstract

A document display housing for removably enclosing a sheet of paper so as to provide a barrier that protects in from moisture, particular in aquatic environments. The document display housing comprises a transparent display member hingedly connected to a housing stand by a biased central hinge. The display member defines an enclosure component having a hinged door component operative to be hinged between an open position that allows paper to be selectively placed into the display member or removed therefrom, and a closed position that enables the display member to form an enclosure around any sheet of paper placed therein. The enclosure component and the door component additionally include a clasp locking system that allows the door component to be snap locked in place when the door component is pressed against the enclosure component and be unsnapped through the application of manual pressure on the release button.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A document display housing, comprising:
a display member defining an enclosure component with a door component movably attached thereto so as to swing open and closed about a vertical axis, thereby configuring the enclosure component, wherein said door component configures the display member to removably enclose at least one sheet of paper while allowing the sheet of paper to remain visible; and a rigid housing stand attached to said display member, wherein said housing stand is configured to enable the document display housing to be positioned with the display member oriented upright relative to a floor surface by moving the display member relative to the housing stand about a horizontal axis.

2 . The document display housing of claim 1 , additionally comprising a central hinge, wherein said housing stand is hingedly attached to said display member through the central hinge and so as to enable the document display housing to be selectively positioned with the display member oriented upright relative to a floor surface.

         3 . (canceled)

4 . The document display housing of claim 3 , wherein the enclosure component is hingedly attached to the door component.

5 . The document display housing of claim 3 , wherein the enclosure component and the door component employ a clasp locking system to enable the door component to be locked against the enclosure component.

         6 . A document display housing, comprising:
a display member defining an enclosure component with a door component movably attached thereto so as to swing open and closed about a vertical axis, thereby configuring the enclosure component to removably enclose at least one sheet of paper while allowing the sheet of paper to remain visible; and a rigid housing stand attached to said display member through a central hinge, wherein said housing stand is configured to enable the document display housing to be selectively positioned with the display member oriented upright relative to a floor surface by moving the display member relative to the housing stand about a horizontal axis.

7 . The document display housing of claim 6 , wherein the central hinge is biased such that it maintains its position until manual pressure is applied to at least one of the display member and the housing stand.

8 . The document display housing of claim 6 , wherein the enclosure component is hingedly attached to the door component.

9 . The document display housing of claim 6 , wherein the enclosure component and the door component employ a clasp locking system to enable the door component to be locked against the enclosure component.
