Abstract
The invention generally relates to methods of treating an overweight or obese subject, and treating overweight- or obesity-related conditions using non-daily administration of, e.g., a MetAP-2 inhibitor.

A method for treating obesity in a human patient having an initial body mass index at least about 30 kg/m 2 , or at least about 27 kg/m 2 and suffering from weight related co-morbidity, and in need thereof, comprising parenterally administering once weekly to said patient about 1.8 mg of 6-O-(4-dimethylaminoethoxy)cinnamoyl fumagillol or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
65 . The method of claim 64 , wherein parenterally administering is subcutaneously administering.
66 . The method of claim 64 , wherein parenterally administering is intravenously administering.
67 . The method of claim 64 , wherein administering to the patient once weekly is repeated until a desired weight is achieved.
68 . A method for treating obesity in a human patient having an initial body mass index at least about 30 kg/m 2 , or at least about 27 kg/m 2 and suffering from weight related co-morbidity, and in need thereof, comprising parenterally administering once weekly to said patient about 2.5 mg of 6-O-(4-dimethylaminoethoxy)cinnamoyl fumagillol or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
69 . The method of claim 68 , wherein parenterally administering is subcutaneously administering.
70 . The method of claim 68 , wherein parenterally administering is intravenously administering.
71 . The method of claim 68 , wherein administering to the patient once weekly is repeated until a desired weight is achieved.

A method for treating obesity in a human patient having an initial body mass index at least about 30 kg/m 2 , or at least about 27 kg/m 2 and suffering from weight related co-morbidity, and in need thereof, comprising parenterally administering once weekly to said patient about 3.0 mg of 6-O-(4-dimethylaminoethoxy)cinnamoyl fumagillol or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
73 . The method of claim 72 , wherein parenterally administering is subcutaneously administering.
74 . The method of claim 72 , wherein parenterally administering is intravenously administering.
