Abstract

The invention relates to an oven for household use, wherein the controls provided on the front control panel are protected against high temperatures by a ventilation system. The latter comprises a cooling air channel supported by shape coupling with the panel where the cooling air inlet and outlet apertures are located.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . An oven, comprising:
a muffle wherein a plurality of walls surround a cooking cavity; a channel in fluid communication with an environment outside the oven for the passage of a cooling air flow; and a front panel arranged in front of the muffle, wherein the channel is secured to at least one of the front panel and the muffle by shape coupling.

2 . The oven of claim 1 , wherein the channel further comprises:
a hollow body with an outlet which is coupled to the front panel and is juxtaposed to apertures provided in the front panel.

3 . The oven of claim 1 , wherein the air flows inwards and/or outwards with respect to the channel.

4 . The oven of claim 3 , wherein the channel comprises an inlet for air coming from the environment outside the oven.

5 . The oven of claim 1 , wherein the front panel has tangs which engage with the channel.

6 . The oven of claim 1 , wherein the channel has appendices which engage with the front panel for securing the latter by shape coupling.

7 . The oven of claim 1 , wherein the channel comprises spacer protrusions.

8 . The oven of claim 2 , wherein the hollow body of the channel is essentially made out of two juxtaposed halves joined together along a peripheral junction edge.

9 . The oven of claim 1 , wherein the channel has a base that rests on the muffle and has a surface extension which is smaller than that of the channel.

10 . The oven of claim 9 , wherein the muffle comprises a relief on which the channel base rests.

         11 . An oven comprising:
a muffle wherein a plurality of walls surround a cooking cavity, the muffle comprising a relief; a channel in fluid communication with an environment outside the oven for the passage of a cooling air flow; and a front panel arranged in front of the muffle, wherein the channel comprises a base that rests on the relief of the muffle.

12 . The oven of claim 11 , wherein the channel comprises spacer protrusions.

13 . The oven of claim 11 , wherein the front panel includes a ventilation aperture.

14 . The oven of claim 13 , wherein the channel is in fluid communication with the environment outside the oven through the ventilation aperture.

15 . The oven of claim 11 , wherein the channel comprises two half-shells.

         16 . An oven comprising:
a muffle wherein a plurality of walls surround a cooking cavity; a front panel arranged in front of the muffle and including a ventilation aperture; and a channel in fluid communication with the ventilation aperture, the channel having an outlet mouth disposed on top of an inlet mouth.

17 . The oven of claim 16 , wherein the channel is positioned on top of the muffle.

18 . The oven of claim 17 , wherein the channel defines spacer protrusions.

19 . The oven of claim 18 , wherein the channel comprises a base that rests on a relief of the muffle.

20 . The oven of claim 19 , wherein the channel is configured to dissipate heat from the muffle.
