Service cloud console
Abstract
Disclosed are some examples of methods, apparatus, systems and computer program products related to a user interface providing a call center service. In some implementations, the user interface presents session tabs and application tabs. A session tab can have a parent-child relationship with an application tab. Customer data can be retrieved from a database, where the customer data includes account data and child data. The customer data can be provided to cause display in the user interface of the account data in association with a first session tab and the child data in association with a first application tab. Edits to the child data can cause the first application tab to be designated as unsaved.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . A system comprising:
a database system; and a cloud-based application hosted on a server system associated with the database system, the cloud-based application being useable with a plurality of browsers on a plurality of client devices capable of communicating with the server system through the cloud, the cloud-based application comprising a plurality of instructions configurable to cause:
providing a plurality of widgets maintained as or identifiable through one or more data objects stored in one or more databases of the database system, the widgets capable of being displayed in a web page at a client device,
displaying, through a browser on a display of a client device, a web page in a tab defined at least in part by the cloud-based application and defined at least in part by two or more displayed ones of the widgets, a displayed widget configured to communicate with the cloud-based application and with one or more others of the widgets, a displayed widget comprising at least one user-alterable field configured to be changed responsive to user input submitted through the client device, the displayed widget having a clean state in which the field has not been changed and having a dirty state in which the field has been changed,
determining that one or more user-submitted changes have been made to the user-alterable field,
determining that the one or more changes have not been saved in a memory,
designating, responsive to determining that the one or more changes have not been saved in a memory, the displayed widget as having the dirty state, and
displaying, responsive to a user action requesting to close or navigate away from at least a portion of the tab comprising the dirty displayed widget, a prompt requesting the user to confirm the user action and lose the one or more changes.
22 . The system of claim 21 , the instructions further configurable to cause:
detecting an interrupt event associated with possible loss of the one or more changes.
23 . The system of claim 22 , wherein the prompt comprises a warning message associated with the detection of the interrupt event.
24 . The system of claim 22 , the instructions further configurable to cause:
determining at least one operation to perform in response to the interrupt event.
25 . The system of claim 22 , wherein the interrupt event comprises at least one of: a request to close the tab, a request to navigate away from the tab, a request to navigate away from the web page, or a request to close a related tab.
26 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the dirty state indicates that the one or more changes are unsaved.
27 . The system of claim 21 , the instructions further configurable to cause:
displaying information indicating the designation of the displayed widget as having the dirty state.
28 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the user-alterable field corresponds to a field of a record stored a database of the database system.
29 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the prompt is displayed without reloading the web page.
30 . A method in relation to a cloud-based application hosted on a server system associated with a database system, the cloud-based application being useable with a plurality of browsers on a plurality of client devices capable of communicating with the server system through the cloud, the method comprising:
providing a plurality of widgets maintained as or identifiable through one or more data objects stored in one or more databases of the database system, the widgets capable of being displayed in a web page at a client device; causing display, through a browser on a display of a client device, of a web page in a tab defined at least in part by the cloud-based application and defined at least in part by two or more displayed ones of the widgets, a displayed widget configured to communicate with the cloud-based application and with one or more others of the widgets, a displayed widget comprising at least one user-alterable field configured to be changed responsive to user input submitted through the client device, the displayed widget having a clean state in which the field has not been changed and having a dirty state in which the field has been changed; determining that one or more user-submitted changes have been made to the user-alterable field; determining that the one or more changes have not been saved in a memory; designating, responsive to determining that the one or more changes have not been saved in a memory, the displayed widget as having the dirty state; and causing display, responsive to a user action requesting to close or navigate away from at least a portion of the tab comprising the dirty displayed widget, of a prompt requesting the user to confirm the user action and lose the one or more changes.
31 . The method of claim 30 , further comprising:
detecting an interrupt event associated with possible loss of the one or more changes.
32 . The method of claim 31 , further comprising:
determining at least one operation to perform in response to the interrupt event.
33 . The method of claim 31 , wherein the interrupt event comprises at least one of: a request to close the tab, a request to navigate away from the tab, a request to navigate away from the web page, or a request to close a related tab.
34 . The method of claim 30 , wherein the user-alterable field corresponds to a field of a record stored a database of the database system.
35 . The method of claim 30 , wherein the prompt is displayed without reloading the web page.
36 . A computer program product comprising computer-readable program code to be executed by one or more processors when retrieved from a non-transitory computer-readable medium, the program code being related to a cloud-based application hosted on a server system associated with a database system, the cloud-based application being useable with a plurality of browsers on a plurality of client devices capable of communicating with the server system through the cloud, the program code comprising instructions configurable to cause:
providing a plurality of widgets maintained as or identifiable through one or more data objects stored in one or more databases of the database system, the widgets capable of being displayed in a web page at a client device; displaying, through a browser on a display of a client device, a web page in a tab defined at least in part by the cloud-based application and defined at least in part by two or more displayed ones of the widgets, a displayed widget configured to communicate with the cloud-based application and with one or more others of the widgets, a displayed widget comprising at least one user-alterable field configured to be changed responsive to user input submitted through the client device, the displayed widget having a clean state in which the field has not been changed and having a dirty state in which the field has been changed; determining that one or more user-submitted changes have been made to the user-alterable field; determining that the one or more changes have not been saved in a memory; designating, responsive to determining that the one or more changes have not been saved in a memory, the displayed widget as having the dirty state; and displaying, responsive to a user action requesting to close or navigate away from at least a portion of the tab comprising the dirty displayed widget, a prompt requesting the user to confirm the user action and lose the one or more changes.
37 . The computer program product of claim 36 , the instructions further configurable to cause:
detecting an interrupt event associated with possible loss of the one or more changes.
38 . The computer program product of claim 37 , wherein the interrupt event comprises at least one of: a request to close the tab, a request to navigate away from the tab, a request to navigate away from the web page, or a request to close a related tab.
39 . The computer program product of claim 36 , wherein the user-alterable field corresponds to a field of a record stored a database of the database system.
40 . The computer program product of claim 36 , wherein the prompt is displayed without reloading the web page.Cited by (0)
