Dual function bag
Abstract
Implementations described and claims herein provide dual function bag that includes features that accommodate work-related materials and recreational materials. The dual function bag includes a housing formed from a front side and a back side connected by a ventilation strip and a base strip. The bag further includes a first and a second attachment that extends from its respective side. The first and second attachments are coupled at a connection point to form a receiving space adjacent to the ventilation strip. The receiving space is adapted to receive one or more articles. A carrying strap is coupled to the connection point, and the connection point is adapted to cinch the one or more articles in the receiving space when tension is applied to the carrying strap.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A bag for carrying at least one article, the bag comprising:
a housing forming an enclosure, the housing having a strip with an outer surface; a first attachment extending from a first portion of the housing; a second attachment extending from a second portion of the housing; a connection point between the first attachment and the second attachment; a receiving space adjacent to the outer surface of the strip formed by the first attachment, the second attachment, and the connection point, the receiving space adapted to receive the at least one article outside the enclosure; and a carrying strap coupled to the connection point, the at least one article being cinched in the receiving space in response to an application of tension to the carrying strap.
2 . The bag of claim 1 , wherein the first portion of the housing is a first side and the second portion of the housing is a second side opposite the first side.
3 . The bag of claim 1 , wherein the first attachment is integral with the first portion of the housing and the second attachment is integral with the second portion of the housing.
4 . The bag of claim 1 , wherein the strip is a ventilation strip.
5 . The bag of claim 1 , wherein the application of tension is caused by lifting the housing by the carrying strap.
6 . The bag of claim 1 , wherein the housing includes at least one pocket.
7 . The bag of claim 6 , wherein the at least one pocket is disposed within the enclosure.
8 . The bag of claim 6 , wherein the at least one pocket includes a padded backing.
9 . The bag of claim 6 , wherein the at least one pocket includes a mesh interior.
10 . The bag of claim 1 , further comprising:
a divider panel bisecting interior space of the enclosure into a first volumetric portion and a second volumetric portion.
11 . The bag of claim 10 , wherein at least one of the first volumetric portion and the second volumetric portion is a vented compartment.
12 . A bag for carrying at least one article, the bag comprising:
a housing forming an enclosure, the housing having a first side and a second side; a carrying strap for carrying the housing; an attachment assembly having a first portion extending from the first side and a second portion extending from the second side; and a receiving space formed by the attachment assembly and adapted to receive the at least one article outside the enclosure, the attachment assembly cinching the at least one article in the receiving space upon an application of tension to the carrying strap.
13 . The bag of claim 12 , wherein the receiving space is adjacent to a strip extending between the first side and the second side.
14 . The bag of claim 13 , wherein the strip is a ventilation strip.
15 . The bag of claim 12 , wherein the application of tension is caused by lifting the housing by the carrying strap.
16 . The bag of claim 12 , wherein the first portion is integral with the first side and the second portion is integral with the second side.
17 . A method for carrying at least one article, the method comprising:
receiving the at least one article in a receiving space disposed outside an enclosure of a housing, the receiving space formed by an attachment assembly having a first portion extending from a first side of the housing and a second portion extending from a second side of the housing; receiving an application of tension to a carrying strap; and cinching the at least one article in the receiving space using the attachment assembly upon the application of tension to the carrying strap.
18 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising:
unsecuring the at least one article for removal from the receiving space upon a release of the application of tension to the carrying strap.
19 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the application of tension is caused by lifting the housing by the carrying strap.
20 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the receiving space is adjacent to a strip extending between the first side and the second side.Cited by (0)
