Abstract
An electronic device includes one or more processors and memory storing one or more programs configured to be executed by the one or more proecessors. The one or more programs include instructions for determining whether a first input is released at a time before expiration of a first time period after a beginning of the first input is detected. In accordance with a determination as to whether the first input is released at a time before expiration of the first time period after the beginning of the first input is detected, the electronic device selects between presenting the first media content or adding the first media content to a playlist. The electronic device performs the selected one of presenting the first media content or adding the first media content to the playlist.

2 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing one or more programs for execution by an electronic device having one or more processors, the one or more programs comprising instructions for:
determining whether a first input is released at a time before expiration of a first time period after a beginning of the first input is detected; in accordance with a determination as to whether the first input is released at a time before expiration of the first time period after the beginning of the first input is detected, selecting between presenting the first media content or adding the first media content to a playlist; and performing the selected one of presenting the first media content or adding the first media content to the playlist.
3 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 2 , wherein selecting between presenting the first media content or adding the first media content to the playlist comprises:
in accordance with a determination that the first input is released at a time before expiration of the first time period after the beginning of the first input is detected, selecting adding the first media content to the playlist.
4 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 2 , wherein selecting between presenting the first media content or adding the first media content to the playlist comprises:
in accordance with a determination that the first input is not released at a time before expiration of the first time period after the beginning of the first input is detected, selecting presenting the first media content.
5 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 4 , wherein the one or more programs further comprise instructions for detecting the beginning of the first input during presentation of second media content.
6 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 5 , wherein the playlist includes the second media content.
7 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 5 , the one or more programs further comprising instructions for:
reducing a volume of the second media content while the first media content is presented; and upon detecting release of the first input, ceasing presentation of the first media content.
8 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 7 , wherein the instructions for reducing the volume of the second media content comprise instructions for muting the second media content.
9 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 5 , the one or more programs further comprising instructions for:
pausing the presentation of the second media content while the first media content is presented; and upon detecting release of the first input, ceasing presentation of the first media content.
10 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 2 , wherein the first input is a touch input including a contact with a touch-sensitive surface.
11 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein the release of the first input is a liftoff from the touch-sensitive surface.
12 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 2 , wherein:
the first input is a click-down event; and the release of the first input is a click-release event.
13 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 2 , wherein the instructions for adding the first media content to the playlist comprise instructions for adding the first media content to an end of the playlist.
14 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 2 , wherein the instructions for adding the first media content to the playlist comprise instructions for adding the first media content as next media content in the playlist.
15 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 2 , wherein the instructions for adding the first media content to the playlist comprise instructions for replacing existing content in the playlist with the first media content.
16 . A method, comprising:
at an electronic device having one or more processors and memory storing instructions for execution by the one or more processors:
determining whether a first input is released at a time before expiration of a first time period after a beginning of the first input is detected;
in accordance with a determination as to whether the first input is released at a time before expiration of the first time period after the beginning of the first input is detected, selecting between presenting the first media content or adding the first media content to a playlist; and
performing the selected one of presenting the first media content or adding the first media content to the playlist.
17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein selecting between presenting the first media content or adding the first media content to the playlist comprises:
in accordance with a determination that the first input is released at a time before expiration of the first time period after the beginning of the first input is detected, selecting adding the first media content to the playlist.
18 . The method of claim 16 , wherein selecting between presenting the first media content or adding the first media content to the playlist comprises:
in accordance with a determination that the first input is not released at a time before expiration of the first time period alter the beginning of the first input is detected, selecting presenting the first media content.
19 . An electronic device, comprising:
one or more processors; and memory storing one or more programs configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs comprising instructions for:
determining whether a first input is released at a time before expiration of a first time period after a beginning of the first input is detected;
in accordance with a determination as to whether the first input is released at a time before expiration of the first time period after the beginning of the first input is detected, selecting between presenting the first media content or adding the first media content to a playlist; and
performing the selected one of presenting the first media content or adding the first media content to the playlist.
20 . The electronic device of claim 19 , wherein selecting between presenting the first media content or adding the first media content to the playlist comprises:
in accordance with a determination that the first input is released at a time before expiration of the first time period after the beginning of the first input is detected, selecting adding the first media content to the playlist.
21 . The electronic device of claim 19 , wherein selecting between presenting the first media content or adding the first media content to the playlist comprises:
