Abstract

An article having a textured surface and a method for manufacturing such an article is provided. The article comprises a polymeric layer coated on at least a portion of the article, a plurality of cavities formed in the polymeric layer, wherein each cavity in the plurality of cavities have a size between about 50 microns to about 2000 microns, and wherein a majority of the plurality of cavities have encircling perimeter ridges, and a plurality of channels formed in the polymeric layer between the encircling perimeter ridges.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An unsupported elastomeric glove with an inside layer comprising:
a non-foamed elastomeric layer; and a foamed elastomeric layer, wherein the foamed elastomeric layer was formed from a dipped layer of latex foam with an exterior surface that was contacted with water soluble particles that act to gel the latex foam, wherein said contacting increases the sweat absorption of the foamed latex layer over what would have applied absent the contacting, and wherein the elastomeric glove is packaged so that the foamed elastomeric layer is configured as the inside layer.

2 . The unsupported elastomeric glove of claim 1 , wherein the layers are natural or synthetic rubber.

3 . The unsupported elastomeric glove of claim 1 , wherein one or more of the layers are natural rubber.

4 . The unsupported elastomeric glove of claim 1 , wherein one or more of the layers are polyurethane, nitrile or polychloroprene.
