Simple video communication platform

Abstract

A system offering simplified bi-directional video communication between a user and a device of a pre-configured one or more persons of interest includes a touch display with a pictorial representation of each of the one or more persons of interest. The touch display is configured to establish the bi-directional video communication with a selected one of said persons of interest in response to a single touch of the pictorial representation of the selected one of the persons of interest. In one implementation, the system includes a monitoring device positioned to monitor one or more biometric parameters of the user, and saving the biometric data on a server for processing.

         5 . A communication system offering one-touch multi-directional video communication between a user of a first communication device and one or more persons of interest, each of said one or more person of interest using a second communication device, said communication system comprising:
 one or more telemetry devices associated with said user and transmitting a plurality of telemetry data via said communication system to a telemetry database;   a data analysis module executed on a processor and coupled with the telemetry database for analysing said telemetry data and generating notification to one or more person of interest when said telemetry data meets a pre-determined status.   
     
     
         6 . The communication system of  claim 5  wherein said telemetry device comprises one or more of a fall detection device, a wandering detection device and an inactivity detection device. 
     
     
         7 . The communication system of  claim 6  wherein said pre-determined status comprises one or more of a detection of a fall, a detection of wandering and a detection of inactivity. 
     
     
         8 . The communication system of  claim 5  wherein said notification comprises a display of an alarm message on said second communication device of said one or more person of interest. 
     
     
         9 . The communication system of  claim 5  further comprising a remote configurator to program said communication system. 
     
     
         10 . The communication system of  claim 5  further comprising displaying one or more reminders on said first communication device based on one or more pre-configured events related to said user. 
     
     
         11 . The communication system of  claim 5  further comprising displaying one or more reminders on said second communication device based on one or more pre-configured events related to said person of interest. 
     
     
         12 . A method for generating notifications relating to a user to one or more person of interest comprising:
 transmitting by one or more telemetry device associated with the user a plurality of telemetry data to a telemetry database;   analysing said telemetry data in said telemetry database;   generating one or more notifications to one or more of said persons of interest if the telemetry data meets a pre-defined status.   
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 12  wherein said telemetry device comprises one or more of a fall detection device, a wandering detection device and an inactivity detection device. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 13  wherein said pre-determined status comprises one or more of a detection of a fall, a detection of wandering and a detection of inactivity. 
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 12  wherein said notification comprises a display of an alarm message on said second communication device of said one or more person of interest. 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 12  further comprising displaying said notification on a communication device coupled with each of said one or more person of interest. 
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 16  further comprising configuring remotely said predefined status and said communication devices. 
     
     
         18 . The communication system of  claim 16  further comprising displaying one or more reminders on said first communication device based on one or more pre-configured events related to said user.
