System and method for delivering targeted advertising data
Abstract
A system is disclosed including but not limited to an advertising server processor for creating a picture in picture queue display comprising a plurality of follow-on advertisements; and a first video server processor interface for sending the picture in picture queue display data to an end user device for rotating the plurality of follow-on advertisements off of an on-screen picture in picture queue display to an off-screen storage on the end user device based on a user input. A method is also disclosed for creating a picture in picture queue display comprising a plurality of follow-on advertisements; and a first video server processor interface for sending the picture in picture queue display data to an end user device for rotating the plurality of follow-on advertisements off of an on-screen picture in picture queue display to an off-screen storage on the end user device based on a user input.

an advertising server processor for creating a picture in picture queue display comprising a plurality of follow-on advertisements; and a first video server processor interface for sending the picture in picture queue display data to an end user device for rotating the plurality of follow-on advertisements off of an on-screen picture in picture queue display to an off-screen storage on the end user device based on a user input.
2 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising:
a group display queue comprising data indicating which of a plurality of group advertisements are to be displayed at the end user device wherein the follow-on advertisements further comprise a follow-on display queue comprising data indicating a display mode indicating positions for the plurality of follow-on advertisements in the picture queue display.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the picture in picture queue display further comprises a group targeted advertisements comprising advertising data targeted to a group of end user client devices targeted to a group of end user client devices.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the group of advertisements further comprise household advertisements contains advertisements targeted to a household, the system further comprising a fourth interface for unicasting the household advertisements to an end user client device associated with a household.

The system of claim 4 , wherein the household advertisements further comprises one individual viewer data comprising at least one advertisement targeted to an individual viewer in the household, the system further comprising a fifth interface for unicasting the individual viewer advertisement to an end user client device associated with an individual viewer.
6 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising a sixth video server interface for inserting the targeted advertisements into a video data stream at the server when a measured network value is above a predetermined value.
7 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the measured network value comprises available bandwidth between the video server and the plurality of end user client devices and available storage at the end user client devices.
8 . A system comprising:
an end user device processor for determining a picture in picture queue display comprising a plurality of follow-on advertisements; a first end user device processor interface for sending data for rotating one of the plurality of follow-on advertisements off of the on-screen picture in picture queue display to an off-screen storage on the end user device based on a user input the end user device processor.

The system of claim 8 , wherein a group display queue comprising data indicating which of the plurality of group advertisements are to be displayed at the end user device and a display mode at the end user device for the follow-on advertisements further indicating a display mode data for the follow-on advertisements wherein the display mode indicates positions for the follow-on advertisements in the display queue.
10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the group of targeted advertisements further comprises a group targeted advertisements wherein the group of targeted advertising data contains advertising data targeted to the end user devices.
11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the targeted advertisements further comprise household advertisements targeted to a household, the system further comprising a fourth interface for receiving a unicast of the targeted advertisements.
12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the household advertisements further comprise an individual viewer data comprising one advertisement targeted to an individual viewer in the household.
13 . The system of claim 8 , further comprising a sixth end user device interface for inserting the targeted advertisements into a video data stream at the end user device when a measured network value is below a predetermined value.
14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the measured network value comprises available bandwidth between a video server and the plurality of end user devices and available storage at the end user client devices.
15 . A method comprising:
creating on an advertising server processor, a picture in picture queue display comprising a plurality of follow-on advertisements on an advertising server processor for creating a picture in picture queue display comprising a plurality of follow-on advertisements; and a first video server processor interface for sending the picture in picture queue display data to an end user device for rotating the plurality of follow-on advertisements off of an on-screen picture in picture queue display to an off-screen storage on the end user device based on a user input.
16 . The method of claim 15 , further comprising:
placing the plurality of advertisement in a group display queue comprising data indicating which of a plurality of group advertisements are to be displayed at the end user device wherein the follow-on advertisements further comprise a follow-on display queue comprising data indicating a display mode indicating positions for the plurality of follow-on advertisements in the picture queue display.
17 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the picture in picture queue display further comprises a group targeted advertisements comprising advertising data targeted to a group of end user client devices targeted to a group of end user client devices.

The method of claim 15 , wherein the group of advertisements further comprise household advertisements contains advertisements targeted to a household, the system further comprising a fourth interface for unicasting the household advertisements to an end user client device associated with a household.
19 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the household advertisements further comprise one advertisement targeted to an individual viewer in the household.

The method of claim 1 , further comprising inserting the targeted advertisements into a video data stream at the server when a measured network value is above a predetermined value wherein the measured network value comprises available bandwidth between the video server and the plurality of end user client devices and available storage at the end user client devices.Cited by (0)
