Abstract
An apparatus having a flame bowl, a shroud surrounding the flame bowl, and a fitting connected to an underside of the flame bowl is disclosed. At least two wick holders are disposed in the flame bowl. The shroud connects to the flame bowl along a top thereof and is spaced apart from the flame bowl along a bottom thereof.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 17 . (canceled)
18 . An apparatus comprising:
a metallic torch top comprising:
a flat floor having a flame bowl affixed thereto, the flame bowl rising upward and away from the flat floor;
a shroud circumscribing and attached to the flame bowl near a top of the flame bowl and extending clown and away from the flame bowl providing a surface that is used to remove the entire torch top from a fuel container;
a fuel container fitting affixed to the flat floor on a side opposite the flame bowl and providing for selective attachment of the torch top to a refillable fuel container; and
a plurality of wick holders affixed to and providing passage through the flat floor and into the fuel container fitting for a plurality of wicks.
19 . The apparatus of claim 18 , wherein the fuel container fitting is a threaded fitting integrated with the flat floor such that rotation of the shroud effect removal of the torch top from a cooperatively threaded fuel container.
20 . The apparatus of claim 19 , further comprising a threaded fuel container cooperatively threaded to fit the threaded fuel container fitting to allow selective attachment and detachment between the threaded fuel container and the torch top.
21 . The apparatus of claim 20 , further comprising a plurality of wicks retained in the plurality of wick holders in a friction fit relationship and traversing from within the flame bowl to inside the threaded fuel container.
22 . The apparatus of claim 21 , wherein the shroud defines a plurality of cooling slots in fluid communication with a bottom of the flame bowl separated from a the plurality of wicks.
23 . A torch comprising:
a threaded fuel container; and a metallic torch top including a flat floor attached to a flame bowl rising above the floor and having a shroud extending downwardly and away from a top of the flame bowl with, the floor being attached to a threaded fitting on a side opposite the flame bowl such that the torch top is detached in one piece from the threaded fuel container by rotation of the shroud relative to the fuel container.
24 . The torch top of claim 23 , further comprising a plurality of friction fit wick holders passing through the flat floor into the threaded fitting.
25 . The torch top of claim 24 , further comprising a plurality of wicks corresponding to the plurality of friction fit wick holders, the plurality of wicks passing from inside the flame bowl through threaded fitting and into the threaded fuel container.
26 . The torch top of claim 25 further comprising a plurality of elongate cooling slots circling the flame bowl on an opposite side of a combustion location of the wicks.
27 . A torch comprising:
a fuel container having a threaded neck; a threaded fitting selectively detachable from the threaded neck of the fuel container; a flat floor rigidly affixed to the threaded fitting and providing a plurality of friction fit wick holders passing through the floor into the threaded fitting; a flame bowl rigidly affixed to the flat floor and surrounding the friction fit wick holders on an upper side of the flat floor; and a shroud rigidly affixed to the flame bowl along a top thereof and extending downward and away from the shroud; wherein the shroud may be rotated to selectively detach the threaded fitting from the threaded neck; and wherein the threaded fitting, the flat floor, the flame bowl, the shroud, and the plurality of wick holder comprise metallic components.
28 . The torch of claim 27 , further comprising a plurality of helical slots defined in the shroud and in fluid communication with a side of the flame bowl opposite the wick holders.Cited by (0)
