Abstract

A universal serial bus (USB) device is provided for storing a digital coin. The USB device includes an electronic media for storing a digital coin, a USB male port connected to the electronic media; and circuitry to erase bits of the digital coin from the electronic media as the bits are sent from the USB male port.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A universal serial bus (USB) device for storing a digital coin, comprising:
an electronic media for storing a digital coin; a USB male port connected to the electronic media; and circuitry to erase bits of the digital coin from the electronic media as the bits are sent from the USB male port.

2 . The USB device of claim 1 , further comprising a USB female port connected to the electronic media adapted to accept a second USB male port of a second USB device for storing a second digital coin to allow reading of the second digital coin through the USB male port.

3 . The USB device of claim 1 , further comprising a cap to cover the USB male port.

4 . The USB device of claim 3 , further comprising a sealing tape to secure the cap over the USB male port after the digital coin has been stored on the electronic media to identify the USB device as unused.

5 . The USB device of claim 1 , further comprising a cap to cover the USB female port.

6 . The USB device of claim 1 , further comprising a metal link to link to a second metal link of a second USB device for storing a second digital coin when the USB device and the second USB device are not connected via a USB connection.

7 . An apparatus for storing and reading digital coins sequentially, comprising:
a first USB device that includes a first electronic media for storing a first digital coin, a first USB male port connected to the first electronic media, a first USB female port connected to the first electronic media, and first circuitry to erase bits of the first digital coin from the electronic media as the bits are sent from the first USB male port; and a second USB device that includes a second electronic media for storing a second digital coin, a second USB male port connected to the second electronic media, a second USB female port connected to the second electronic media, and second circuitry to erase bits of the second digital coin from the electronic media as the bits are sent from the second USB male port, wherein the second USB male port is connected to the first USB female port and the first USB device and the second USB device are adapted to allow the first digital coin and the second digital coin to be read sequentially from the first USB male port.
