Abstract

The present invention relates to the field of viral disorders, and in particular to the use of natural compounds to inhibit viruses and viral infection. Compositions comprising NGNA are provided for treating or preventing viral infections, such as those causing the common cold.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
We claim:

1 . A nasal delivery device comprising a reservoir, a pump, and a nozzle, wherein the reservoir comprises a fluid comprising NGNA that can be expelled via the pump through the nozzle to provide a mist comprising NGNA in an amount from 100 micrograms to 0.9 milligrams.

2 . The nasal delivery device of claim 1 , wherein said fluid further comprises a suspending agent.

3 . The nasal delivery device of claim 2 , wherein said suspending agent is selected from the group consisting of carboxmethylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, veegum, tragacanth, bentonite, methylcellulose, and polyethylene glycol.

4 . A nasal delivery device comprising a reservoir, a pump, and a nozzle, wherein the reservoir comprises a fluid comprising from 1 nM to 10 mM NGNA that can be expelled via the pump through the nozzle to provide a mist comprising NGNA.

5 . The nasal delivery device of claim 4 , wherein said fluid further comprises a suspending agent.

6 . The nasal delivery device of claim 5 , wherein said suspending agent is selected from the group consisting of carboxmethylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, veegum, tragacanth, bentonite, methylcellulose, and polyethylene glycol.
