Method and system for water reclamation, purification, and reuse for residential, commercial, and agricultural applications
Abstract
A water reclamation system includes a drainage lane overlaying a downward graded area of land and configured to receive water run-off from the land. At least one collection ditch coupled to the at least one drainage lane is configured to receive water from the drainage lane. At least one collection pipe housed is within and extends outwardly from the at least one collection ditch. A first container is coupled to the at least one collection pipe and configured to receive water from the at least one collection pipe. Housed within the first container is at least one water purifying filter and a pump configured to evacuate at least a portion of water within the container to a destination. A second container is in communication with the first container and is configured to: subject water received from the first container to a purification process; and store the purified water.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A water reclamation system, comprising:
a water collection ditch system of one or more portions, each positioned downslope to an area of land to receive water from the area of land, a collection pipe system housed within and extending outwardly from the end portion of the collection ditch system to connect to a collection container; a first container in communication with the collection pipe system and configured to receive water from the collection pipe system, wherein housed within the first container is a water purifying filter and a pump capable of evacuating a portion of water within the container to a destination; and a second container in communication with the first container, the second container being configured to: subject water received from the first container to a purification process; and store said purified water.
2 . The system of claim 1 wherein the water reclamation system is configured through computerized optimization software with land survey and local weather statistics as input.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the water reclamation system is configured for a single parcel of land.
4 . The system of claim 1 wherein the water reclamation system is configured for multiple parcels of land.
5 . The system of claim 1 wherein an anti-microbial, anti-fungi and anti-parasitic device is installed in the first container.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first container contains a device to create water movement.
7 . The system of claim 1 wherein an anti-microbial, anti-fungi and anti-parasitic device is installed in the second container.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the second container contains a device to create water movement.
9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the second container is operatively coupled to a household water line.
10 . A water reclamation system, comprising:
a gutter system located around the perimeter of a structure's roof, wherein the gutter system is capable of collecting rainwater; and a pipe system consisting of one or more portions and parts and configured to receive collected rain water from the gutter system, wherein at least one portion of the pipe system is coupled to at least one container that is equipped with a device to generate water movement.
11 . The water reclamation system of claim 10 , wherein the at least one portion of the pipe system is coupled to the at least one container via an intermediate pipe.
12 . The water reclamation system of claim 10 , wherein housed within the container is a pump configured to evacuate at least a portion of rainwater collected in the container to a destination.
13 . The water reclamation system of claim 10 , wherein the container is located at an elevation above the ground.
14 . The water reclamation system of claim 10 , wherein the container has an overflow.
15 . The water reclamation system of claim 14 , wherein the overflow is conducted to a public sewer.
16 . The water reclamation system of claim 14 , wherein the overflow is connected to a secondary storage.
17 . The water reclamation system of claim 16 , wherein the secondary storage is coupled to a water purification system.
18 . The water reclamation system of claim 17 , wherein the water purification and storage system is connected to a building water supply line.
19 . An in-building plumbing system for water reclamation, comprising
a first drain line for receiving water from in-building, used water sources other than a toilet or dump sink that receives chemical, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industrial waste, wherein the first drain line is separated from other drain lines and communicates with a water purification system graded for a first intended re-use; and a second drain line for receiving the contents of one or more toilets, wherein the second drain line does not communicate with the first drain line and is in communication with a destination point.
20 . The in-building plumbing system for water reclamation of claim 19 , wherein the destination point is a public sewer system.Cited by (0)
