Abstract
A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may detect, with bluetooth, devices in proximity to the WTRU. The WTRU may send a message to transfer selected multi-media to a selected device. The WTRU may receive confirmation to transfer the selected multi-media to the selected device. The selected multi-media is transferred to the selected device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) comprising:
a processor configured to process, from a touch display, a first input to select a visual depiction of multi-media; circuitry configured to detect, by the WTRU with use of bluetooth, another device; the processor further configured to process a second input from the touch display to select the another device; the processor configured to send, by the WTRU to the selected another device, a message to transfer the multi-media; circuitry configured to receive, by the WTRU, confirmation to transfer the multi-media; the processor configured to transmit, by the WTRU to the selected another device with use of WiFi, the multi-media; the processor further configured to transfer, by the WTRU to the selected another device, additional information to display; and wherein the additional information is displayed before the multi-media is completely transferred.
2 . The WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the first input or the second input is a multi-touch input.
3 . The WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the multi-media is any one of a photograph, a video, or a document.
4 . The WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the circuitry configured to transfer with use of WiFi uses a WiFi link.
5 . The WTRU of claim 4 , wherein the WiFi link operates using 802.21.
6 . The WTRU of claim 4 , wherein the WiFi link utilizes peer-to-peer communication.
7 . The WTRU of claim 6 , wherein the peer-to-peer communication operates in WiFi ad-hoc mode.
8 . The WTRU of claim 1 further comprising:
the processor further configured to process release of a touch contact to initiate transfer of the multi-media to the selected another device.
9 . The WTRU of claim 1 further comprising:
the processor configured to determine that the selected another device is compatible to receive the multi-media.
10 . The WTRU of claim 1 further comprising:
the processor configured to determine environment information that lists a plurality of WTRUs in proximity to the WTRU.
11 . A method performed by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), the method comprising:
processing, by a processor of the WTRU from a touch display, a first input to select a visual depiction of multi-media; detecting, by the WTRU with use of bluetooth, another device; processing a second input from the touch display to select the another device; sending, by the WTRU to the selected another device, a message to transfer the multi-media; receiving, by the WTRU, confirmation to transfer the multi-media; transmitting, by the WTRU to the selected another device with use of WiFi, the multi-media; transferring, by the WTRU to the selected another device, additional information to display; and wherein the additional information is displayed before the multi-media is completely transferred.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the first input or the second input is a multi-touch input.
13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the multi-media is any one of a photograph, a video, or a document.
14 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the transmitting with use of WiFi uses a WiFi link.
15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the WiFi link operates using 802.21.
16 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the WiFi link utilizes peer-to-peer communication.
17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the peer-to-peer communication operates in WiFi ad-hoc mode.
18 . The method of claim 11 further comprising:
processing release of a touch contact to initiate transfer of the multi-media to the selected another device.
19 . The method of claim 11 further comprising:
determining that the selected another device is compatible to receive the multi-media.
20 . The method of claim 11 further comprising:
determining environment information that lists a plurality of WTRUs in proximity to the WTRU.Cited by (0)
