Abstract

A system and method employs an online site for making stored digital video recordings available for selection and download to a wireless communications device. Upon receipt of a selection for a digital video recording, the system and method causes the selected digital video recording to be wirelessly transmitted to the wireless communications device. The selected digital video recording is also made available to a personal computer associated with the user who made the selection. At least a title of the selected digital video recording is stored in a personal storage account of the user.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A mobile apparatus comprising:
a communication unit operable to establish a first communication link to receive audio content and information related to the audio content; a display operable to display at least a portion of the information; and a user input unit operable, responsive to a single user interaction with the user input unit, to cause the communication unit to establish a second communication link using the information to initiate a transaction related to the information with an external target while the audio content is being received via the first communication link.

2 . The mobile apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising:
a memory including a plurality of memory locations to store the information related to the audio content; and an association link between at least one of the plurality of memory locations and the user input unit.

3 . The mobile apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the audio content comprises at least one of music, advertisement, or real-time speech.

4 . The mobile apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the single user interaction comprises at least one of a key press, a voice command, or a touch-sensitive screen touch.

5 . The mobile apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the audio content is a song, wherein the information comprises an address of the external target to purchase the song, and wherein the address is useable by the communication unit.

6 . The mobile apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the audio content is an advertisement, wherein the information comprises an address of the external target to purchase an item related to the advertisement, and wherein the address is useable by the communication unit.

7 . The mobile apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the audio content is real-time speech, wherein the information comprises a phone number of the external target to respond to the real-time speech, and wherein the phone number is useable by the communication unit.

         8 . A mobile apparatus comprising:
a communication unit operable to establish a first communication link to receive initial audio content, initial information related to the initial audio content, subsequent audio content, and subsequent information related to the subsequent audio content; a display operable to display at least a portion of the initial information and the subsequent information; and a user input unit operable, responsive to a single user interaction with the user input unit, to cause the communication unit to establish a second communication link using the initial information to initiate a transaction related to the initial information with an external target while the subsequent audio content is being received via the first communication link.

9 . The mobile apparatus of claim 8 , further comprising:
a memory including a plurality of memory locations to store the initial information related to the initial audio content and the subsequent information related to the subsequent audio content; and an association link between at least one of the plurality of memory locations and the user input unit.

10 . The mobile apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the initial audio content and the subsequent audio content comprise at least one of music, advertisement, or real-time speech.

11 . The mobile apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the single user interaction comprises at least one of a key press, a voice command, or a touch-sensitive screen touch.

12 . The mobile apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the initial audio content is a song, wherein the initial information comprises a first address of the external target to purchase the song, wherein the first address is useable by the communication unit, wherein the subsequent audio content is an advertisement, wherein the subsequent information comprises a second address of the external target to purchase an item related to the advertisement, and wherein the second address is useable by the communication unit.

13 . The mobile apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the initial audio content is an advertisement, wherein the initial information comprises a first address of the external target to purchase an item related to the advertisement, wherein the first address is useable by the communication unit, wherein the subsequent audio content is a song, wherein the subsequent information comprises a second address of the external target to purchase the song, and wherein the second address is useable by the communication unit.

14 . The mobile apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the initial audio content is real-time speech, wherein the initial information comprises a phone number of the external target to respond to the real-time speech, wherein the phone number is useable by the communication unit, wherein the subsequent audio content is a song, wherein the subsequent information comprises an address of the external target to purchase the song, and wherein the address is useable by the communication unit.

         15 . A method comprising:
establishing a first communication link to receive audio content and information related to the audio content; displaying at least a portion of the information; and responsive to a single user action, establishing a second communication link using the information to initiate a transaction related to the information with an external target while the audio content is being received via the first communication link.

16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the audio content comprises at least one of music, advertisement, or real-time speech.

17 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the single user action comprises at least one of a key press, a voice command, or a touch-sensitive screen touch.

18 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the audio content is a song, wherein the information comprises an address of the external target to purchase the song, and wherein the address is useable to establish the second communication link.

19 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the audio content is an advertisement, wherein the information comprises an address of the external target to purchase an item related to the advertisement, and wherein the address is useable to establish the second communication link.

20 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the audio content is real-time speech, wherein the information comprises a phone number of the external target to respond to the real-time speech, and wherein the phone number is useable to establish the second communication link.
