A sleeping bag is provided. The sleeping bag includes an elongate shell defining an inner volume sized and shaped to receive a user therein, the elongate shell having an overlying portion adapted to overlie the user during use, the overlying portion having an outer layer and an inner layer, an underlying portion adapted to underlie the user during use, and an opening disposed on the elongate shell. The sleeping bag further includes a comforter attached to the overlying portion of the elongate shell for selectively closing the opening, the comforter having a pair of pockets that are configured to extend transversely beyond the extent of the elongate shell.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
. A sleeping bag comprising:
an elongate shell defining an inner volume sized and shaped to receive a user therein, the elongate shell having an overlying portion adapted to overlie the user during use, the overlying portion having an outer layer and an inner layer, an underlying portion adapted to underlie the user during use, and an opening disposed on the elongate shell; and a comforter attached to the overlying portion of the elongate shell for selectively closing the opening, the comforter comprising a pair of pockets that are configured to extend transversely beyond the extent of the elongate shell.
. The sleeping bag set forth in claim 1 wherein the pockets are configured to longitudinally extend relative to the elongate shell.
. The sleeping bag set forth in claim 1 wherein the opening is disposed on the overlying portion of the elongate shell.
. The sleeping bag set forth in claim 1 wherein the comforter is attached to the inner layer of the overlying portion of the elongate shell
. The sleeping bag set forth in claim 1 wherein the pockets are sized and shaped for receiving the arms and hands of a user.
. The sleeping bag set forth in claim 1 wherein the pockets extend substantially the entire length of the comforter.
. The sleeping bag set forth in claim 1 wherein lengths of the pockets relative to the comforter are varied.
. The sleeping bag set forth in claim 1 wherein the pockets have the same material as the elongate shell.
. The sleeping bag set forth in claim 1 wherein the pockets have a different material as the elongate shell.
. The sleeping bag as set forth in claim 1 wherein the comforter has a width greater than a width of the elongate shell.
. The sleeping bag as set forth in claim 1 wherein the comforter is made from the same material as the elongate shell.
. The sleeping bag as set forth in claim 1 wherein the comforter is permanently attached to the elongate shell.
. The sleeping bag as set forth in claim 1 wherein the comforter is removably attached to the elongate shell.
. The sleeping bag as set forth in claim 1 wherein the comforter has a length less than a length of the elongate shell.
. The sleeping bag as set forth in claim 1 wherein the comforter is selectively moveable from an interior position wherein the comforter is disposed in the inner volume of the elongate shell and an exterior position wherein the comforter is at least partly disposed outside the inner volume of elongate shell and overlies at least part of the middle portion of the elongate shell.
. The sleeping bag as set forth in claim 15 wherein the comforter is generally face-to-face with the outer layer of the overlying portion of the elongate shell in the exterior position.
. The sleeping bag as set forth in claim 1 wherein the comforter is attached to the inner layer of the overlying portion and transversely across the width of the elongate shell at a location generally adjacent and below the opening.
. The sleeping bag as set forth in claim 1 wherein the comforter includes longitudinally extending edges that are configured to extending transversely beyond the extent of longitudinally extending side panels of the elongate shell.
. The sleeping bag as set forth in claim 1 wherein the opening comprises an upper edge portion, a lower edge portion, a right edge portion, and a left edge portion which are longer than the upper edge portion and the lower edge portion, and the comforter is configured to extend beyond and beneath the lower edge portion, the upper edge portion, the right edge portion, and the left edge portion to fully close the opening.Cited by (0)
