Mask

Abstract

An eye mask for a person includes a forward portion adapted to cover the person's eyes and having a malleable nose bridge, and two side straps each fixed with the forward portion and terminating at strap ends each having at least one part of a first two-part mechanical fastener. At least one of the side straps may include a first part of a second two-part mechanical fastener for attachment to a seat retention strap adapted to encircle a portion of a seat. Other adjustable attachment means that include a plurality of different straps for encircling the seat or headrest of a seat are included for retaining the person's head against the seat. Each side strap may include a pocket formed therein for holding an ear plug.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A mask for a person, comprising:
 a forward portion configured to cover part of a person's face, said forward portion comprising:
 a main body; 
 an elongated outer sheath; and 
 an internal malleable material within said outer sheath for conforming to a person's nose; 
   wherein said elongated outer sheath is on less than all of an inside surface of said main body.   
     
     
         2 . The mask of  claim 1 , wherein said forward portion comprises left and right ends;
 and   wherein said elongated outer sheath extends to said left and right ends.   
     
     
         3 . The mask of  claim 1 , further comprising a strap attached to one or both of said left and right ends. 
     
     
         4 . The mask of  claim 1 , wherein said internal malleable material is able to be pressed permanently out of shape. 
     
     
         5 . The mask of  claim 1 , wherein said internal malleable material comprises metal. 
     
     
         6 . The mask of  claim 1 , wherein said elongated outer sheath has a height substantially smaller than a height of said forward portion. 
     
     
         7 . The mask of  claim 1 , wherein said elongated outer sheath is on less than half of said inside surface of said main body. 
     
     
         8 . The mask of  claim 1 , wherein said elongated outer sheath is along an edge of said inside surface of said main body. 
     
     
         9 . The mask of  claim 8 , wherein said edge is a bottom edge of said inside surface of said main body. 
     
     
         10 . A mask, comprising:
 a main body comprising a front surface and a back surface; and   an outer sheath on a portion of said hack surface of said main body, said portion of said back surface of said main body being less than all of said back surface of said main body; and   an internal malleable material within said outer sheath, said internal malleable material and at least a portion of said outer sheath forming a malleable nose bridge, said internal malleable material able to be pressed permanently out of place such that said malleable nose bridge conforms to a user's nose.   
     
     
         11 . The mask of  claim 10 , wherein said outer sheath is along an edge of said back surface of said main body. 
     
     
         12 . The mask of  claim 11 , wherein said outer sheath is along a bottom edge of said back surface of said main body. 
     
     
         13 . The mask of  claim 10 , wherein said front surface of said main body is substantially flat. 
     
     
         14 . The mask of  claim 10 , wherein said malleable nose bridge is configured to conform to a user's nose and cheeks. 
     
     
         15 . The mask of  claim 10 , wherein said outer sheath has a height substantially smaller than a height of said main body. 
     
     
         16 . The mask of  claim 10 , wherein said portion of said back surface of said main body is less than half of said back surface of said main body. 
     
     
         17 . A mask for a person, comprising:
 a forward portion; and   two side straps each fixed with the forward portion and terminating at side strap ends, each side strap having at least one part of a two-part mechanical fastener such that the two side straps can be fastened to each other;   wherein the forward portion includes a malleable nose bridge for conforming to the person's nose, whereby with the side straps mutually fixed with the two-part mechanical fastener around the person's head, the malleable nose bridge may be adjusted to conform to the person's nose;   wherein the forward portion comprises an inner malleable layer forming the malleable nose bridge, the inner malleable layer comprising a flexible outer sheath surrounding an internal malleable material.   
     
     
         18 . The mask of  claim 17 , wherein the forward portion comprises an outer layer, and wherein the inner malleable layer is on less than all of a back surface of the outer layer. 
     
     
         19 . The mask of  claim 17 , wherein the forward portion comprises an outer layer, and wherein the inner malleable layer is along an edge of a hack surface of the outer layer. 
     
     
         20 . The mask of  claim 19 , wherein the inner malleable is along a bottom edge of the back surface of the outer layer, and wherein the outer layer is opaque.
