Abstract

Particular embodiments described herein provide for a wearable electronic device, such as a bracelet, watch, wristband or armband. One particular example implementation of a wearable electronic device may include a first display screen, a second display screen, and logic. At least a portion of the logic is implemented in hardware. The logic is configured to receive a communication over a wireless network, and to display, in the first display screen, a communication alert. The communication alert can be a graphic design. The logic is also configured to receive input data indicative of a screen transition input to view information associated with the communication, and to display, in the second display screen, the information associated with the communication. In further embodiments, the graphic design includes a notification pattern indicating one or more attributes of the communication. In further embodiments, the first and second display screens form a single display screen.

Claims

1 .- 25 . (canceled)

26 . At least one computer readable storage medium comprising instructions for a mobile electronic device, wherein the instructions, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:
provide a notification based, at least in part, on a user-configured level of importance associated with a communication from a network, wherein the user-configured level of importance is one of a plurality of levels of importance configurable by a user on the mobile electronic device; receive, from a touch sensor of the mobile electronic device, input data indicative of a particular touch; and based at least in part on the input data, provide for display in a display screen of the mobile electronic device at least some content related to the communication.

27 . The at least one computer readable storage medium of claim 26 , wherein the user-configured level of importance is based on a sender of the communication.

28 . The at least one computer readable storage medium of claim 26 , wherein the particular touch is a single finger touch.

29 . The at least one computer readable storage medium of claim 26 , wherein the at least some content is provided for display in the display screen in response to receiving the input data.

30 . The at least one computer readable storage medium of claim 26 , wherein the user-configured level of importance is configured at the mobile electronic device prior to the communication being received at the mobile electronic device.

31 . The at least one computer readable storage medium of claim 26 , wherein the plurality of levels of importance represent varying degrees of importance.

32 . The at least one computer readable storage medium of claim 31 , wherein the plurality of levels of importance includes at least a high level of importance and a low level of importance.

33 . The at least one computer readable storage medium of claim 26 , wherein the notification is provided for display in the display screen of the mobile electronic device.

34 . The at least one computer readable storage medium of claim 33 , wherein the user-configured level of importance is indicated visually when the notification is displayed in the display screen.

35 . The at least one computer readable storage medium of claim 33 , wherein the notification is more noticeable visually when displayed in the display screen than a second notification configured with a second level of importance that is lower than the user-configured level of importance.

36 . The at least one computer readable storage medium of claim 26 , wherein the notification indicates a type of communication.

         37 . A mobile electronic device, comprising:
means for providing a notification based, at least in part, on a user-configured level of importance associated with a communication from a network, wherein the user-configured level of importance is one of a plurality of levels of importance configurable by a user on the mobile electronic device; means for receiving, from a touch sensor, input data indicative of a particular touch; and means for providing for display in a display screen of the mobile electronic device at least some content related to the communication, wherein the at least some content is provided for display based, at least in part, on the input data.

38 . The mobile electronic device of claim 37 , wherein the user-configured level of importance is based on a sender of the communication.

39 . The mobile electronic device of claim 37 , wherein the at least some content is provided for display in the display screen in response to receiving the input data.

         40 . A system, comprising:
a display screen; a storage device including instructions stored therein; and at least one processor configured to execute the instructions and when executed, the instructions cause the at least one processor to:
 provide a notification based, at least in part, on a user-configured level of importance associated with a communication from a network, wherein the user-configured level of importance is one of a plurality of levels of importance configurable by a user via the display screen;
receive, from a touch sensor, input data indicative of a particular touch; and
based at least in part on the input data, provide for display in the display screen at least some content related to the communication.
