Abstract
A method for sealing an interstice, in particular a joint between two walls, is disclosed. A sealant which is covered with a film upon being applied is used for sealing purposes. A sealing system is also disclosed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 .- 11 . (canceled)
12 . A method for sealing an interstice, comprising the steps of:
sealing the interstice with a sealant; and covering the sealant with a covering film before the sealant hardens.
13 . The method according to claim 12 , further comprising the step of inserting an insulating material into the interstice.
14 . The method according to claim 12 , wherein an adhesive strip or an adhesive point or an adhesive section is included on the film.
15 . The method according to claim 12 , further comprising the step of applying the sealant by a spraying process.
16 . The method according to claim 12 , wherein the interstice is a joint between two walls.
17 . A sealing system for sealing an interstice, comprising:
a not-yet-hardened sealant disposed in the interstice; and a film, wherein the film covers the not-yet-hardened sealant.
18 . The sealing system according to claim 17 , wherein the film has a flocking.
19 . The sealing system according to claim 17 , wherein the film is constructed of a plurality of layers, wherein the plurality of layers includes at least one fleece layer and one layer of a vapor-diffusion-enabling functional membrane.
20 . The sealing system according to claim 17 , wherein the film is elastic and wherein the sealant, when hardened, and the film have similar elastic properties.
21 . The sealing system according to claim 17 , wherein the sealant is an acrylate dispersion.
22 . The sealing system according to claim 17 , wherein the sealant consists of a fire protection joint spray and wherein the film consists of a membrane.
23 . The sealing system according to claim 17 , wherein the film consists of a hardened sealant.
24 . The sealing system according to claim 17 , wherein the sealant is a water-based sealant and wherein the film is a water-tight, diffusion-enabling film.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
