Abstract
An electronic device and a method for controlling a camera device in the electronic device are provided. The electronic device includes a display, a camera device disposed at a location overlapping a partial area of the display, and a processor that controls the camera device based on information input through an adjacent area of the partial area of the display or an adjacent area including the partial area of the display.

1 . An electronic device comprising:
a display; a camera device disposed at a location overlapping a partial area of the display; and at least one processor configured to control the camera device based on information input through an adjacent area of the partial area of the display or an adjacent area including the partial area of the display.
2 . The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the partial area of the display at which the camera device is disposed is perforated or omits an element of the display.
3 . The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to control the display to display operational state information of the camera device on the adjacent area of the partial area of the display or the adjacent area including the partial area of the display.
4 . The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to drive the camera device based on touch information detected through the adjacent area of the partial area of the display or the adjacent area including the partial area of the display.
5 . The electronic device of claim 4 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to drive the camera device based on at least one of a drag distance, a drag direction, a touch maintaining time, and a number of touches detected through the adjacent area of the partial area of the display or the adjacent area including the partial area of the display.
6 . The electronic device of claim 4 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to:
control the display to display activation information of the camera device on the adjacent area of the partial area of the display or the adjacent area including the partial area of the display, configure, when a drag input for the activation information of the camera device is detected, an area of the display as a camera display area according to the drag input, and control the display to display a preview image collected through the camera device in the camera display area.
7 . The electronic device of claim 6 , wherein, when the area of the display is configured as the camera display area, the at least one processor is further configured to the display to display a service screen of another application in a remaining area of the display, and,
when an image is captured through the camera device, the at least one processor is further configured to configure the captured image as input data of the other application.

The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to configure a photographing timer of the camera device based on touch information detected through the adjacent area of the partial area of the display or the adjacent area including the partial area of the display.
9 . The electronic device of claim 8 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to control the display to display photographing timer information of the camera device based on a position where the camera device is disposed.
10 . The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein, when an image is captured through the camera device, the at least one processor is further configured to control the display to gradually change a color of the display from a position where the camera device is disposed simultaneously with the image capturing.
11 . A method of operating an electronic device comprising a camera device disposed at a location overlapping a partial area of a display, the method comprising:
detecting input information through an adjacent area of the partial area of the display or an adjacent area including the partial area of the display; and controlling the camera device based on the input information.
12 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising displaying operational state information of the camera device on the adjacent area of the partial area of the display or the adjacent area including the partial area of the display.
13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein detecting the input information comprises detecting touch information through the adjacent area of the partial area of the display or the adjacent area including the partial area of the display.
14 . The method of claim 11 , wherein controlling the camera device comprises driving the camera device based on touch information detected through the adjacent area of the partial area of the display or the adjacent area including the partial area of the display.
15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein driving the camera device comprises driving the camera device based on at least one of a drag distance, a drag direction, a touch maintaining time, and a number of touches detected through the adjacent area of the partial area of the display or the adjacent area including the partial area of the display.
16 . The method of claim 14 , wherein driving the camera device comprises:
when a touch input is detected through the adjacent area of the partial area of the display or the adjacent area including the partial area of the display, displaying activation information of the camera device in the partial area of the display; when a drag input for the activation information of the camera device is detected, configuring an area of the display as a camera display area according to the drag input; and displaying a preview image collected through the camera device in the camera display area.
17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein displaying the preview image comprises:
when the area of the display is configured as the camera display area, displaying a service screen of another application in a remaining area of the display.
18 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising, when an image is captured through the camera device, configuring the captured image as input data of the other application.
19 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising:
configuring a photographing timer of the camera device based on touch input detected through the adjacent area of the partial area of the display or the adjacent area including the partial area of the display; and displaying photographing timer information of the camera device based on a position where the camera device is disposed.
20 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising, when an image is captured through the camera device, gradually changing a color of the display from a position where the camera device is disposed simultaneously with the image capturing.Cited by (0)
