Integrating autostereoscopic wagering game elements and controls
Abstract
Embodiments include a method for controlling a wagering game on a wagering game machine. The method can include presenting, at an autostereoscopic depth and from a first perspective, a wagering game object moving about an autostereoscopic display device during the wagering game. The method can also include ceasing movement of the wagering game object on the autostereoscopic display device. The method can also include presenting, via the autostereoscopic display device, indicia directing a player to a vantage point. The method can also include detecting, via a camera, that the player is at the vantage point. The method can also include in response to the player being at the vantage point, presenting at the wagering game object on the autostereoscopic display device at the autostereoscopic depth and from a second perspective.

2 . A method for controlling a wagering game on a wagering game machine, the method comprising:
presenting, at an autostereoscopic depth and from a first perspective, a wagering game object moving about an autostereoscopic display device during the wagering game; ceasing movement of the wagering game object on the autostereoscopic display device; presenting, via the autostereoscopic display device, indicia directing a player to a vantage point; detecting, via a camera, that the player is at the vantage point; in response to the player being at the vantage point, presenting the wagering game object on the autostereoscopic display device at the autostereoscopic depth and from a second perspective.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the first perspective corresponds to a first side of the wagering game object on which a first outcome for the wagering game is visible, and wherein the second perspective corresponds to a second side on the wagering game object on which a second outcome for the wagering game is visible.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the wagering game is a slots game, and the game object is a reel symbol.
5 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the second perspective reveals indicia not visible from the first perspective.
6 . The method of claim 2 further comprising:
in response to the player being at the vantage point, determining an outcome for the wagering game based on the player being at the vantage point.
7 . The method of claim 2 further comprising:
detecting the player at another vantage point; and
determining, by the autostereoscopic display device, another autostereoscopic depth based on the player being at the other vantage point; and
presenting, by the autostereoscopic display device, the wagering game object at the other autostereoscopic depth.
8 . The method of claim 2 further comprising:
rotating the wagering game object in response to the player being at the vantage point.
9 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums including computer executable instructions to control a wagering game on a wagering game machine, the computer executable instructions comprising:
instructions to present, at an autostereoscopic depth and from a first perspective, a wagering game object moving about an autostereoscopic display device during the wagering game; instructions to cease movement of the wagering game object on the autostereoscopic display device; instructions to present, via the autostereoscopic display device, indicia directing a player to a vantage point; instructions to detect, via a camera, that the player is at the vantage point; instructions to in response to the player being at the vantage point, present the wagering game object on the autostereoscopic display device at the autostereoscopic depth and from a second perspective.
10 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums of claim 9 , wherein the first perspective corresponds to a first side of the wagering game object on which a first outcome for the wagering game is visible, and wherein the second perspective corresponds to a second side on the wagering game object on which a second outcome for the wagering game is visible.
11 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums of claim 10 , wherein the wagering game is a slots game, and the game object is a reel symbol.
12 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums of claim 9 , wherein the second perspective reveals indicia not visible from the first perspective.
13 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums of claim 9 further comprising:
instructions to in response to the player being at the vantage point, determine an outcome for the wagering game based on the player being at the vantage point.
14 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums of claim 9 further comprising:
instructions to detect the player at another vantage point; and
instructions to determine another autostereoscopic depth based on the player being at the other vantage point; and
instructions to present, by the autostereoscopic display device, the wagering game object at the other autostereoscopic depth.
15 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums of claim 9 further comprising:
instructions to rotate the wagering game object in response to the player being at the vantage point.
16 . A wagering game machine comprising:
one or processors; one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums including instructions executable on the one or more processors, the instructions to control a wagering game on the wagering game machine, the instructions comprising:
instructions to present, at an autostereoscopic depth and from a first perspective, a wagering game object moving about an autostereoscopic display device during the wagering game;
instructions to cease movement of the wagering game object on the autostereoscopic display device;
instructions to present, via the autostereoscopic display device, indicia directing a player to a vantage point;
instructions to detect, via a camera, that the player is at the vantage point;
instructions to in response to the player being at the vantage point, present the wagering game object on the autostereoscopic display device at the autostereoscopic depth and from a second perspective.
17 . The wagering game machine of claim 16 , wherein the first perspective corresponds to a first side of the wagering game object on which a first outcome for the wagering game is visible, and wherein the second perspective corresponds to a second side on the wagering game object on which a second outcome for the wagering game is visible.
18 . The wagering game machine of claim 17 , wherein the wagering game is a slots game, and the game object is a reel symbol.
19 . The wagering game machine claim 16 , wherein the second perspective reveals indicia not visible from the first perspective.
20 . The wagering game machine of claim 16 , the one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums further comprising:
instructions to in response to the player being at the vantage point, determine an outcome for the wagering game based on the player being at the vantage point.
21 . The wagering game machine of claim 16 , the one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums further comprising:
instructions to detect the player at another vantage point; instructions to determine another autostereoscopic depth based on the player being at the other vantage point; instructions to present, by the autostereoscopic display device, the wagering game object at the other autostereoscopic depth.Cited by (0)
