at least one first member defining a storage space with an opening for a user to access the storage space; a second member adjacent to said at least one first member, and defining a first side of an open locker slot; and a door having a first portion and a second portion, the first portion of the door being shaped to enclose the opening of the storage space, and the second portion of the door extending from the first portion of the door and being shaped to form a second side of the open locker slot, the door having (i) an unlocked state that provides access to the storage space and the open locker slot and (ii) a locked state in which secondary equipment is maintained in the storage space and equipment is maintained in the open locker slot.

. The locker of claim 1 , wherein the equipment includes skis or a snowboard, the skis or snowboard being secured in the open locker slot while the locker door is in the closed state.

. The locker of claim 1 , wherein the first portion of the door has a rectangular shape having a first horizontal dimension and first longitudinal dimension to cover an opening defined by walls of the storage space as provided by said at least one first member, and wherein the second portion of the door has a second horizontal dimension and a second longitudinal dimension, wherein the second longitudinal dimension is shorter than the first longitudinal dimension.

. The locker of claim 1 , further comprising a hinge disposed on a first vertical edge of the first portion of the door, and wherein the second portion of the door extends from a second vertical edge of the first portion of the door that is opposite the first vertical edge.

. The locker of claim 1 , wherein the open locker slot is further configured to slidably receive the equipment.

. The locker of claim 1 , further comprising a mounting-rack assembly configured to be adjustable to selected vertical positions to provide flexible adjustment of the electronically controlled locker in order to suit a topographical environment.

. The locker of claim 1 , further comprising a mounting-rack assembly that extends to support a second locker adjacent to the locker.

. The locker of claim 1 , wherein the storage space includes a hanger and a sub-storage space.

. The locker of claim 1 , wherein the door is further configured to be locked and unlocked by a remote electronic system.

. The locker of claim 9 , wherein the remote electronic system is a key-facilitation server in response to receiving a key-access request.

. The locker of claim 10 , wherein the key-access request is received by the key-facilitation server from a remote electronic device via a communications network.
