Abstract

Systems and methods for detecting presence of a thing, the thing treated with a descenter, one method including in an area in which it is possible that a thing treated with a descenter is present, using a detector to detect a descenter level in the area, producing a detected descenter level, comparing the detected descenter level to a normal descenter level for the area, determining that the detected descenter level is different from the normal descenter level, said determining indicating the possible presence of a thing treated with a descenter; and using a trained service animal to facilitate such a method.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A system, comprising:
an insulated container including a body that forms an interior space configured to receive an item, the body having an outer layer and an inner layer positioned opposite the outer layer, the inner layer defining the interior space, the insulated container being portable in a field by a hunter; and an oxidizing gas generator positioned to insert an oxidizing gas into the interior space of the insulated container.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the oxidizing gas is configured to preserve a food item positioned in the interior space from spoiling.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the oxidizing gas is configured to reduce germs or bacteria that may grow on a food item positioned in the interior space.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the oxidizing gas is configured to reduce injurious effects to the hunter from of a toxic material or a substance associated with a food item positioned in the interior space.

5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the oxidizing gas is ozone and the oxidizing gas generator is an ozone generator.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the oxidizing gas generator further includes a fan to circulate the oxidizing gas in the interior space of the insulated container.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the oxidizing gas generator further includes a fan to direct the oxidizing gas to the item positioned in the interior space of the insulated container.

8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the insulated container includes a hinged lid to allow access to the interior space in an open position and to seal the interior space from a surrounding environment in a closed position.

9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the insulated container is configured to isolate an air temperature of the interior space from an air temperature of an environment surrounding the insulated container.

10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the insulated container further includes handles configured to be gripped by a hand of the hunter.

11 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the insulated container is a portable cooler.

12 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the insulated container includes a space between the outer layer and the inner layer of the body configured to receive the oxidizing gas, wherein the oxidizing gas generator is positioned to insert the oxidizing gas into the space between the outer layer and the inner layer.

13 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the insulated container includes an indicator that indicates a presence or an absence of the oxidizing gas.

14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the indicator is a material that changes color based at least in part on the presence or the absence of the oxidizing gas.

15 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the oxidizing gas generator includes including a battery to power the oxidizing gas generator.

16 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the item is an article of clothing.

17 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the oxidizing gas generator is removably attachable to the insulated container.

18 . A method for preserving food, comprising:
positioning a food item in an interior space of an insulated container; positioning an oxidizing gas generator to direct an oxidizing gas into the interior space of the insulated container; and initiating production of the oxidizing gas to reduce germs or bacteria that may grow on the food item positioned in the interior space.

19 . The method of claim 18 , further comprising:
sealing an opening of the insulated container after initiating production of the oxidizing gas.

20 . The method of claim 18 , further comprising:
transporting, by a hunter, the insulated container having the food item and the oxidizing gas generator after initiating production of the oxidizing gas.

21 . A system for preserving food, comprising:
a cooler including a body that forms an interior space configured to receive a food item, the body having an outer layer and an inner layer positioned opposite the outer layer, the inner layer defining the interior space; and a battery-powered ozone generator including a fan, the battery-powered ozone generator positioned to insert and circulate ozone into the interior space of the cooler, the ozone configured to preserve the food item positioned in the interior space from spoiling; wherein the cooler having the food item and the battery-powered ozone generator positioned in the interior space is portable in a field by a hunter while the battery-powered ozone generator is circulating the ozone in the interior space.
