Abstract

Methods and apparatus are described for time domain signals. An apparatus includes an electrical circuit coupled to a transmitter which conducts a bit stream of electrical, light or other photonic pulses into an apparatus encoder.

What is claimed is:

1 . An apparatus, comprising an electrical circuit coupled to a transmitter which conducts a bit stream of electrical, light or other photonic pulses into an apparatus encoder wherein the pulses are constructed into individual intervals of up and down sections of two or more multidimensional variable pulse width time domain symbols wherein the durations of the high and low times of the pulses are independently controlled through a timer control mechanism within the apparatus that determines, with outside input and control, the number of the states and the dimensions of the variable pulses and the use, if any, of tables in conjunction with the pulses with respect to their start, duration and ending precisely controlling the sequential sum concatenation of measurements of the time captured during the duration between the initiation of the high time and its subsequent end and the separate duration of the initiation of the low time and its subsequent end as the pulses rise and fall without any symbolic meaning being attached to the rise and fall times of the variable bipolar pulses except through their use in the initiation and termination of a signal or set of signals as they are sum concatenated and then conducted through a gated circuit exiting the apparatus to a transmitter.
