Abstract
An online marketplace system includes one or more processors and a set of memory resources that store data corresponding to assets for transaction. The one or more processors implement multiple online marketplaces for transacting a corresponding set of assets.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A computing system for managing multiple online marketplace services, comprising:
one or more processors; and one or more memory resources storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing system to implement multiple instances of a set of logical components to concurrently and independently provide the multiple online marketplace services, each instance of the set of logical components providing one of the multiple online marketplace services by performing operations that include:
receiving information from a seller that identifies an asset for sale on the online marketplace;
transmitting data to user devices to enable the user devices to display information regarding the asset;
implementing the online marketplace service for the asset;
wherein the multiple online marketplace services include a first online marketplace service hosted from a first domain by a first host and a second online marketplace service hosted from a second domain by a second host; and wherein an amount of processing resources from the one or more processors for providing one or more of the multiple instances of logical components is dynamically adjusted based on a demand level of one or more of the multiple online marketplace services.
2 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein a first set of information corresponding to a first asset for sale on the first online marketplace service is stored through implementation of a first instance of the set of logical components in a first partition of the one or more memory resources, and a second set of information corresponding to a second asset for sale on the second online marketplace service is stored through implementation of a second instance of the set of logical components in a second partition of the one or more memory resources.
3 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the demand level includes an activity level of one or more of the multiple online marketplace services.
4 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the computing system concurrently and independently provides the multiple online marketplace services by branding each of the multiple online marketplace services for a different online marketplace provider.
5 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the computing system concurrently and independently provides the multiple online marketplace services by hosting each of the multiple online marketplace services on a different domain.
6 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the computing system concurrently and independently provides multiple online marketplace services by retrieving data from the first host, and physically and logically positioning the memory resources based on the data from the first host.
7 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the computing system partitions the one or more memory resources so that at least a first portion of the one or more memory resources is dedicated for only the first online marketplace service and a second portion of the one or more memory resources is dedicated only for the second online marketplace services.
8 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the computing system implements the online marketplace for the first online marketplace service under a first set of rules, and implement the online marketplace for the second online marketplace service under a second set of rules.
9 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the asset corresponds to a real property item, and wherein the computing system standardizes the information that identifies the asset by determining a type for the seller.
10 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the asset corresponds to a real property item, and wherein the computing system standardizes the information that identifies the asset by standardizing a format of a street address for the real property item.
11 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the asset corresponds to a real property item, and wherein the computing system verifies the information that identifies the asset by verifying an address for the real property item.
12 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the asset corresponds to a real property item, and wherein the computing system verifies the information that identifies the asset by determining a name of an owner for the real property item from an independent source other than the seller.
13 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the operations further include associating the asset with one of a plurality of asset states.
14 . The computing system of claim 13 , wherein the plurality of asset states includes a first state that identifies the asset prior to being placed on the online marketplace, a second state that indicates the asset is currently for sale on the online marketplace, and a third state that indicates that a transaction for the asset on the online marketplace is complete.
15 . A method for operating an online marketplace system, the method being implemented by a computing system that includes one or more processors and one or more memory resources, comprising:
implementing multiple instances of a set of logical components to concurrently and independently provide multiple online marketplace services; wherein each instance of the set of logical components provides one of the multiple online marketplace services by performing operations that include:
receiving information from a seller that identifies an asset for sale on the online marketplace;
transmitting data to user devices to enable the user devices to display information regarding the asset;
implementing the online marketplace service for the asset;
wherein the multiple online marketplace services include a first online marketplace service hosted from a first domain by a first host and a second online marketplace service hosted from a second domain by a second host; and wherein an amount of processing resources from the one or more processors for providing one or more of the multiple instances of logical components is dynamically adjusted based on a demand level of one or more of the multiple online marketplace services.
16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein a first set of information corresponding to a first asset for sale on the first online marketplace service is stored through implementation of a first instance of the set of logical components in a first partition of the one or more memory resources, and a second set of information corresponding to a second asset for sale on the second online marketplace service is stored through implementation of a second instance of the set of logical components in a second partition of the one or more memory resources.
17 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the demand level includes an activity level of one or more of the multiple online marketplace services.
18 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a computing system, cause the computing system to perform steps comprising:
implementing multiple instances of a set of logical components to concurrently and independently provide multiple online marketplace services; wherein each instance of the set of logical components provides one of the multiple online marketplace services by performing operations that include:
receiving information from a seller that identifies an asset for sale on the online marketplace;
transmitting data to user devices to enable the user devices to display information regarding the asset;
implementing the online marketplace service for the asset;
wherein the multiple online marketplace services include a first online marketplace service hosted from a first domain by a first host and a second online marketplace service hosted from a second domain by a second host; and wherein an amount of processing resources from the one or more processors for providing one or more of the multiple instances of logical components is dynamically adjusted based on a demand level of one or more of the multiple online marketplace services.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 18 , wherein a first set of information corresponding to a first asset for sale on the first online marketplace service is stored through implementation of a first instance of the set of logical components in a first partition of one or more memory resources of the computing system, and a second set of information corresponding to a second asset for sale on the second online marketplace service is stored through implementation of a second instance of the set of logical components in a second partition of the one or more memory resources.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 18 , wherein the demand level includes an activity level of one or more of the multiple online marketplace services.Cited by (0)
