Abstract

Embodiments related to juicing systems including juicers for extracting juice from food matter contained within juicer cartridges are described.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A juicer cartridge comprising:
a first compartment at least partially surrounding liquid containing food matter, the first compartment having a first side and a second opposing side; an outlet associated with the first side of the first compartment; and at least one stress relief feature formed between the first and second opposing sides of the compartment.

2 . The juicer cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the stress relief feature is at least one of an indentation, notch, cut out, weld, fold, a weakened area of the first compartment, and a flexible portion of the first compartment.

3 . The juicer cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the at least one stress relief feature is a first stress relief feature associated with a third side of the compartment and a second stress relief feature associated with a fourth side of the compartment opposite the third side.

4 . The juicer cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the at least one stress relief feature is located closer to the first side associated with the outlet than the second side.

5 . The juicer cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the outlet is integrally formed with the first compartment.

6 . The juicer cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the first compartment is capable of supporting pressures sufficient to extract the liquid from the food matter.

7 . The juicer cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the first compartment is a liquid impermeable compartment.

8 . The juicer cartridge of claim 7 , further comprising a second liquid permeable compartment at least partially surrounding the food matter and at least partially disposed within the first compartment.

9 . The juicer cartridge of claim 1 , wherein the at least one stress relief feature is formed in both the first compartment and the second liquid permeable compartment.

         10 . A juicer cartridge comprising:
a first compartment at least partially surrounding liquid containing food matter, the first compartment having a top, a bottom, and two opposing sides; an outlet associated with the bottom of the first compartment; and at least one indentation formed in one of the two opposing sides of the first compartment.

11 . The juicer cartridge of claim 10 , wherein the at least one indentation has a rounded, square, rectangular, or triangular profile.

12 . The juicer cartridge of claim 10 , wherein the at least one indentation is at least two indentations formed in the two opposing sides of the first compartment.

13 . The juicer cartridge of claim 10 , wherein the at least one indentation is located closer to the bottom of the first compartment associated with the outlet than the top of the first compartment.

14 . The juicer cartridge of claim 10 , wherein the outlet is integrally formed with the first compartment.

15 . The juicer cartridge of claim 10 , wherein the first compartment is capable of supporting pressures sufficient to extract the liquid from the food matter.

16 . The juicer cartridge of claim 10 , wherein the first compartment is a liquid impermeable compartment.

17 . The juicer cartridge of claim 16 , further comprising a second liquid permeable compartment at least partially surrounding the food matter and at least partially disposed within the first compartment.

18 . The juicer cartridge of claim 10 , wherein the at least one indentation is formed in both the first compartment and the second liquid permeable compartment.
