Attachment for a hand held appliance

Abstract

An attachment for a hair care appliance includes an elongate body having a first end and a second end, a fluid inlet at the first end, a fluid outlet and a fluid flow path extending between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet wherein the diameter at the first end is larger than the diameter at the second end and the fluid outlet extends from the first end to the second end. The elongate body may converge from the first end towards the second end. The elongate body may gradually reduce in diameter from the first end. The reduction in diameter may extend along a portion of the elongate body. There may be a gradual transition from the diameter at the first end to the diameter at the second end.

An attachment for a hair care appliance comprising an elongate body having a first end and a second end, a fluid inlet at the first end, a fluid outlet and a fluid flow path extending between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet wherein the diameter at the first end is larger than the diameter at the second end and the fluid outlet extends from the first end to the second end. 
     
     
         2 . The attachment of  claim 1 , wherein the elongate body converges from the first end towards the second end. 
     
     
         3 . The attachment of  claim 1 , wherein the elongate body gradually reduces in diameter from the first end. 
     
     
         4 . The attachment of  claim 3 , wherein the reduction in diameter extends along a portion of the elongate body. 
     
     
         5 . The attachment of  claim 1 , wherein there is a gradual transition from the diameter at the first end to the diameter at the second end. 
     
     
         6 . The attachment of  claim 1 , wherein the elongate body comprises an extended plate extending from the first end to the second end. 
     
     
         7 . The attachment of  claim 6 , wherein the extended plate has a thickness and the thickness of the plate is substantially uniform along the body. 
     
     
         8 . The attachment of  claim 7 , wherein any change in diameter along the length of the elongate body is both an internal change and an external change. 
     
     
         9 . The attachment of  claim 1 , wherein the elongate body flares towards the first end. 
     
     
         10 . The attachment of  claim 9 , wherein the elongate body extends along an axis and has a substantially constant diameter along the axis from the second end towards the first end. 
     
     
         11 . The attachment of  claim 1 , wherein the fluid outlet comprises at least one slot extending along the elongate body. 
     
     
         12 . The attachment of  claim 11 , wherein the elongate body extends along an axis and the at least one slot is curved with respect to the axis. 
     
     
         13 . The attachment of  claim 12 , wherein the at least one slot is helical. 
     
     
         14 . The attachment of  claim 1 , wherein the hair care appliance is a hot styling appliance.
