Abstract

The invention relates to compound of the formula I or a salt thereof, wherein the substituents are as defined in the specification; to its preparation, to its use as medicament and to medicaments comprising it.

A method of ameliorating disorders or conditions mediated through antagonism or inverse antagonism of the H3 receptor, wherein the disorder or condition is associated with impaired cognition; comprising administration of an effective amount of a compound selected from 1-(6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridazin-3-yl)piperidin-4-yl 4-cyclobutylpiperazine-1-carboxylate, 1-(1-methyl-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridazin-3-yl)piperidin-4-yl 4-isopropylpiperazine-1-carboxylate, 1-(6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridazin-3-yl)piperidin-4-yl 4-isopropylpiperazine-1-carboxylate or 1-(1-methyl-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridazin-3-yl)piperidin-4-yl 4-cyclobutylpiperazine-1-carboxylate or a salt thereof, to a subject in need of treatment thereof. 
     
     
         19 . A method according to  claim 18  wherein the cognitive function impairment disorder is Alzheimer's disease; comprising administration of an effective amount of 1-(6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridazin-3-yl)piperidin-4-yl 4-cyclobutylpiperazine-1-carboxylate or a salt thereof. 
     
     
         20 . A method according to  claim 18  wherein the cognitive function impairment disorder is mild cognitive impairment comprising; administration of an effective amount of 1-(6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridazin-3-yl)piperidin-4-yl 4-cyclobutylpiperazine-1-carboxylate or a salt thereof.

A method according to  claim 18  wherein the cognitive function impairment disorder is Alzheimer's disease; comprising administration of an effective amount of 1-(1-methyl-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridazin-3-yl)piperidin-4-yl 4-isopropylpiperazine-1-carboxylate or a salt thereof.

A method of ameliorating Alzheimer's disease in a subject in need of treatment thereof comprising administration of an effective amount of the compound 1-(6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridazin-3-yl)piperidin-4-yl 4-isopropylpiperazine-1-carboxylate, or a salt thereof, in combination with another active agent selected from the group consisting of: donepezil, rivastigmine or dalantamine.

A method of ameliorating Alzheimer's disease in a subject in need of treatment thereof comprising administration of an effective amount of the compound 1-(1-methyl-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridazin-3-yl)piperidin-4-yl 4-cyclobutylpiperazine-1-carboxylate, or a salt thereof, in combination with another active agent selected from the group consisting of: donepezil, rivastigmine or dalantamine.
