Abstract

Systems and methods for detecting presence of a thing, the thing treated with a descenter, one method including in an area in which it is possible that a thing treated with a descenter is present, using a detector to detect a descenter level in the area, producing a detected descenter level, comparing the detected descenter level to a normal descenter level for the area, determining that the detected descenter level is different from the normal descenter level, said determining indicating the possible presence of a thing treated with a descenter; and using a trained service animal to facilitate such a method.

3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the odor reducing agent is cyclodextrin.

4 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising:
a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit configured to insert heated and/or cooled air into the room, wherein the oxidizing gas generator and the fan are integrated with the HVAC unit of the room.

5 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising:
a dehydration device configured to remove moisture from air positioned in the room of the structure.

6 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising:
a sensor configured to detect a presence of contraband in the room.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the oxidizing gas is ozone and the oxidizing gas generator is an ozone generator.

8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the oxidizing gas generator and the detector are positioned in the room.

         9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein:
the structure includes a plurality of rooms in addition to the room; and each room of the plurality of rooms includes an individualized oxidizing gas generator configured to insert the oxidizing gas into its respective room and an individualized detector configured to detect the a level of the oxidizing gas in its respective room.

         10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein:
the structure includes a corridor connecting at least one room of a plurality of rooms of the structure with the room; and the corridor includes a corridor oxidizing gas generator configured to insert the oxidizing gas into the corridor and a corridor detector configured to detect the a level of the oxidizing gas in the corridor.

11 . A method for controlling oxidizing gas, comprising:
receiving data from a detector indicative of a level of oxidizing gas in a room of a structure; determining that the level of the oxidizing gas in the room satisfies an oxidizing gas threshold for the room based at least in part on the data received from the detector; and adjusting an amount of oxidizing gas being inserted into the room by an oxidizing gas generator based at least in part on the oxidizing gas threshold being satisfied.

12 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising:
identifying a drop in the level of the oxidizing gas in the room indicative of the oxidizing gas reacting with a foreign substance in the room based at least in part on the data received from the detector; and increasing the amount of oxidizing gas inserted into the room based at least in part on identifying the drop in the level of the oxidizing gas.

13 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising:
activating a dehydration apparatus of the room to remove moisture from air inside the room based at least in part on identifying the drop in the level of the oxidizing gas.

14 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising:
inserting cool air into the room simultaneously while inserting the oxidizing gas into the room based at least in part on identifying the drop in the level of the oxidizing gas.

15 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising:
identifying a rise in the level of the oxidizing gas in the room based at least in part on the data received from the detector; and decreasing the amount of oxidizing gas inserted into the room based at least in part on identifying the drop in the level of the oxidizing gas.

16 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising:
sensing, by a sensor different from the detector, a level of an injurious agent in the room; and increasing the amount of oxidizing gas inserted into the room based at least in part on sensing the injurious agent.

17 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising:
isolating air in the room from air in a plurality of other rooms in the structure based at least in part on sensing the injurious agent.

18 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising:
