Abstract
A system, topology, and methods for providing power or data to electronic devices are described generally herein. Other embodiments may be described and claimed. The system may include an internal power source, charging module, modem, and an external power coupling module.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . An apparatus comprising:
a housing; an external power source coupling module, the external power source coupling module having a first position, where at least a portion of the external power source coupling module extends from the housing, and a second position different from the first position, where the at least the portion of external power source coupling module retract toward the housing; a battery disposed within the housing configured to at least store electrical energy received through the external power source coupling module; a direct current interface module; and a transformer module, the transformer module operatively coupled to the external power source coupling module and the battery, the transformer module transforming alternating current to direct current for storing in the battery.
22 . The apparatus of claim 21 , further comprising:
a switching module operatively coupled to battery, the direct current interface module, and the external power source coupling module, the switching module providing energy from the battery to the direct current interface module as a function of the energy provided from the external power source coupling module.
23 . The apparatus of claim 22 , wherein the switching module is configured to at least provide electrical energy from the battery to the direct current interface module in response to determining that the electrical energy provided from the external power source coupling module is below a predetermined threshold.
24 . The apparatus of claim 21 , further comprising at least one light, the at least one light providing an indication of an energy level of the battery.
25 . The apparatus of claim 24 , wherein the at least one light includes a light emitting diode.
26 . The apparatus of claim 21 , wherein the direct current interface module includes a universal serial bus interface.
27 . The apparatus of claim 21 , wherein the direct current interface module includes a universal serial bus port.
28 . The apparatus of claim 21 , wherein at least a portion of the external power source coupling module is configured to rotate from the first position to the second position.
29 . An apparatus comprising:
a housing; an external power source coupling module, the external power source coupling module; a battery, the battery configured to at least store and discharge electrical energy; a first integrated circuit module; a direct current interface module disposed on the first integrated circuit module; a second integrated circuit module; and a transformer module disposed on the second integrated circuit module, the transformer module operatively coupled to the external power source coupling module and the battery, the transformer module transforming alternating current to direct current.
30 . The apparatus of claim 29 , further comprising:
a charging module, the charging module operatively coupled to the battery and the external power source coupling module, the charging module configured to at least charge the battery.
31 . The apparatus of claim 29 , further comprising:
a switching module, the switching module operatively coupled to battery, the direct current interface module, and the external power source coupling module, the switching module configured to at least provide electrical energy from the battery to the direct current interface module as a function of the electrical energy provided from the external power source coupling module.
32 . The apparatus of claim 29 , wherein the external power source coupling module is configured to have a first position where the at least a portion of the external power source coupling module extend from the housing and a second position where the at least the portion of the external power source coupling module retracts toward the housing.
33 . The apparatus of claim 32 , wherein the at least the portion of the external power source coupling module is configured to rotate from the first position to the second position.
34 . The apparatus of claim 29 , wherein the first integrated circuit module further comprises at least one light, the at least one light configured to provide an indication of an electrical energy level of the battery.
35 . The apparatus of claim 34 , wherein the at least one light includes at least one light emitting diode.
36 . The apparatus of claim 29 , wherein the direct current interface module includes a universal serial bus interface.Cited by (0)
