Abstract

A system and method of Touch Free Automatic faucet controlled by electronic sensors provides a Primary-Water-Flow-Mode, a Continue-Water-Flow-Mode, a Temperature-Control-Mode, a Faucet-Pause-Mode, an Adjust-Water-Flow-Mode and a Flow-Temperature-Default-Setting-Mode for users to control faucet water flow and water temperature without touching any parts of faucet body. The system comprises at least three electronic sensors, a logical processor circuit board, an electricity power supply package, a water flow control valve assembly, a temperature control valve assembly, at least one faucet body housing and at least one inlet fluid line. From the outputs of the sensors, the logical processor responds to the flow control valve assembly and to the temperature control valve assembly to control water flow and temperature to the faucet spout.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . (canceled)

         2 . A system for controlling an operation of a touch free faucet, the system comprising:
 a first touch free sensor configured to detect a first object below a spout of the touch free faucet; a second touch free sensor configured to detect a second object near a top portion of the touch free faucet; and a controller configured to:
 maintain a first flow of water until the first object leaves a zone of the first touch free sensor;
 turn on a second flow of water in a continuous mode based on the detection of the second object;
 determine that the first object and the second object are detected simultaneously for a first time period; and
 disable the first touch free sensor based on the determination that the first object and the second object were detected simultaneously for the first time period.

         3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein at least some of the operations of the touch free faucet are controlled manually.

         4 . The system of claim 2 , wherein a flow rate of the first flow of water is predetermined.

         5 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the first object and the second object comprise a hand of a user.

         6 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the first object comprises one hand of a user and the second object comprises another hand of the user.

         7 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the controller is further configured to turn off the second flow of water in the continuous mode when the second flow of water is flowing in the continuous mode and further based on the detection of the second object.

         8 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the controller is further configured to turn off the second flow of water in the continuous mode after a determination that the second flow of water has been flowing in the continuous mode for a second time period.

         9 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the controller is further configured to enable the first touch free sensor when the first touch free sensor is disabled and further based on a determination that the first object and the second object were detected simultaneously for a third period.

         10 . A method for controlling an operation of a touch free faucet, the method comprising:
 maintaining a first flow of water until the first object leaves the first zone of the first touch free sensor based on a detection of a first object in a first zone of a first touch free sensor; turning on a second flow of water in a continuous mode based on the detection of the second object based on a detection of a second object in a second zone of a second touch free sensor; and disabling the first touch free sensor based on a determination that the first object and the second object were detected simultaneously for a first time period.

         11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein at least some of the operations of the touch free faucet are controlled manually.

         12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein a flow rate of the first flow of water is predetermined.

         13 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the first object and the second object comprise a hand of a user.

         14 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the first object comprises one hand of a user and the second object comprises another hand of the user.

         15 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising turning off the second flow of water in the continuous mode when the second flow of water is flowing in the continuous mode and further based on the detection of the second object.

         16 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising turning off the second flow of water in the continuous mode when the second flow of water is flowing in the continuous mode for a second time period.

         17 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising enabling the first touch free sensor when the first touch free sensor is disabled and further based on a determination that the first object and the second object were detected simultaneously for a third period.

         18 . The method of claim 10 , wherein a temperature of the first flow of water is user selectable.

         19 . A system for controlling an operation of a touch free faucet, the touch free sensor comprising a first touch free sensor, the system comprising a controller configured to:
 turn on a first flow of water in a continuous mode based on a detection of a first object by the first touch free sensor for a first time period; and disable a first touch free sensor based on the detection of a second object for a second time period greater than the first time period.

         20 . The system of claim 19 , further comprising a second touch free sensor, and wherein the controller is further configured to disable the second touch free sensor based on the detection of the second object for the second time period greater than the first time period.

         21 . The system of claim 19 , wherein a temperature of the first flow of water is user selectable.
