Claims

Abstract

A new type of demountable modular panel and its respective assembly process, intended for use on motor sports circuits, particularly on urban circuits. It has the advantage of being easily assembled and disassembled, allowing easy access to any point on the circuit. It can be used on metal barriers or on concrete bases fitted with “U” section metal guides at their ends, into which a metal support profile is inserted. Above the base, a fencing panel is placed, with a top section included at 45°. A tubular metal shaft is introduced vertically through metal connectors and tightly clamped in rectangular retention brackets. The attachment of the panel is reinforced by “L” section metal brackets and respective bolts with washers.

What is claimed: 
     
         1 . An assembly process for demountable modular safety panel with devices making said safety panel compatible for installation on metal barriers at motor racing circuits as described in claim no.  3 , comprising the following steps:
 a) inserting the vertical post ( 2 ) of the metal barriers ( 8 ) into an opening at a top of the metal sleeve ( 1 ),   b) fitting the threaded rods ( 4 ) to attach the tubular metal shaft ( 11 ),   c) placing movable stop ( 6 - a ) that determines the height of the tubular metal shaft ( 11 ) that is structurally connected to the vertical post ( 2 ),   d) installing the metal barriers ( 8 ) fixed to the vertical post ( 2 ),   e) placing a protective bracket ( 5 ) at the top of the vertical post ( 2 ) between the upper edge of the metal barriers ( 8 ) and the vertical post ( 2 ),   f) attaching, by insertion ( 10 ), a top section ( 3 - a ) of the fencing panel ( 3 ), at a 45° angle to the fending panel,   g) placing the fencing panel ( 3 ) in vertical alignment above the metal barriers ( 8 ),   h) vertically inserting the tubular metal shaft ( 11 ), with the shaft passing through the interior of the metal connectors ( 12 ) and through the rectangular retaining brackets ( 9 ),   i) positioning the tubular metal shaft ( 11 ) using the threaded rods ( 4 ) so as to seat it on the vertical post ( 2 ), and   j) tightening the threaded rods ( 4 ) and rectangular retaining brackets ( 9 ) until hermetically attached to the tubular metal shaft ( 11 ).   
     
     
         2 . An assembly process for demountable modular safety panel with devices making said safety panel compatible for installation on concrete bases at motor racing circuits as described in claim no.  3 , comprising the following steps:
 a) inserting the metal support profile ( 15 ) into the opening in the upper part of the “U” section channel guide ( 14 ),   b) placing the fencing panel ( 3 ) in the vertical plane above the concrete base ( 13 ),   c) vertically inserting the tubular metal shaft ( 11 ) through the metal connectors ( 12 ) and through the rectangular retaining brackets ( 9 ),   d) inserting the tubular metal shaft ( 11 ) into the “U” section channel guides ( 14 ) at each end of the concrete bases ( 13 ) and the placement of the tubular metal shaft ( 11 ) in the “I” section metal support ( 15 ),   e) clamping the tubular metal shaft ( 11 ) by rectangular retaining brackets ( 9 ), and   f) using “L” section metal brackets ( 17 ) to attach the fencing panel ( 3 ) to the concrete block ( 13 ).
