Carried-Forward Service Units

Abstract

Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for rolling over unused credits. An available number of service units is provided during a billing cycle. The number of service units consumed during the billing cycle is compared to the available number of service units. When service units remain at an end of the billing cycle, then unused service units are rolled over to another billing cycle.

1 . A method, comprising:
 processing, by a server, cellular data records associated with a cellular service utilized by a mobile device;   identifying, by the server, a monthly allotment associated with the cellular service utilized by the mobile device;   determining, by the server, a remaining portion of the monthly allotment associated with the cellular service that remains in a billing cycle; and   sending, from the server, an electronic value of the remaining portion of the monthly allotment as an electronic payment to a network address associated with a third party.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising determining a cellular identifier associated with the cellular service utilized by the mobile device. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , further comprising querying an electronic database for the cellular identifier associated with the cellular service utilized by the mobile device, the electronic database electronically associating monthly allotments and cellular identifiers including the cellular identifier associated with the cellular service utilized by the mobile device. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 3 , further comprising identifying the monthly allotment of the monthly allotments in the electronic database that is electronically associated with the cellular identifier associated with the cellular service utilized by the mobile device. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising determining service units consumed during the billing cycle. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising decrementing the service units consumed from the monthly allotment. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising generating a bill for the monthly allotment associated with the cellular service utilized by the mobile device. 
     
     
         8 . A method, comprising:
 processing, by a computer, cellular calls associated with a mobile device;   determining, by the computer, a cellular identifier associated with the cellular calls associated with the mobile device;   querying, by the computer, an electronic database for the cellular identifier associated with the cellular calls associated with the mobile device, the electronic database electronically associating monthly allotments and cellular identifiers including the cellular identifier associated with the cellular calls associated with the mobile device;   identifying, by the computer, the monthly allotment of the monthly allotments in the electronic database that is electronically associated with the cellular identifier associated with the cellular service utilized by the mobile device;   determining, by the computer, an unused portion of the monthly allotment that remains in a billing cycle; and   sending, from the computer, an electronic value of the unused portion of the monthly allotment as an electronic payment to a network address associated with a third party.   
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 8 , further comprising determining a used portion of the monthly allotment consumed during the billing cycle. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 9 , further comprising decrementing the used portion from the monthly allotment. 
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 9 , further comprising subtracting the used portion consumed during the billing cycle from the monthly allotment. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 8 , further comprising determining the used portion consumed during the billing cycle exceeds the monthly allotment. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 8 , further comprising generating a bill for the monthly allotment. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 8 , further comprising determining an overage of the monthly allotment. 
     
     
         15 . A method, comprising:
 processing, by a computer, cellular data records associated with a cellular service utilized by a mobile device;   determining, by the computer, a cellular identifier associated with the cellular service associated with the mobile device;   querying, by the computer, an electronic database for the cellular identifier, the electronic database electronically associating monthly allotments to cellular identifiers including the cellular identifier associated with the cellular service associated with the mobile device;   identifying, by the computer, the monthly allotment of the monthly allotments in the electronic database that is electronically associated with the cellular identifier associated with the cellular service utilized by the mobile device;   determining, by the computer, an unused portion of the monthly allotment that remains in a billing cycle; and   sending, from the computer, an electronic value of the unused portion of the monthly allotment as an electronic payment to a network address associated with a third party.   
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 15 , further comprising determining a used portion of the monthly allotment consumed during the billing cycle. 
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 16 , further comprising decrementing the used portion from the monthly allotment. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 16 , further comprising subtracting the used portion consumed during the billing cycle from the monthly allotment. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 15 , further comprising determining the used portion consumed during the billing cycle exceeds the monthly allotment. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 15 , further comprising generating a bill for the monthly allotment.
