Systems and Methods for Creating and Sharing Protected Content

Abstract

Systems and methods for creating and sharing protected content between individuals is disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for creating and sharing protected content between individuals may include (1) receiving foundation content; (2) receiving a selection of cover content; (3) receiving a selection of one or more unlock actions; (4) receiving a selection of one or more recipients for the protected content; (5) at least one computer processor creating a layered data file comprising the foundation content fully obscured by the cover content; (6) providing the one or more recipients access to the layered data file; (7) receiving an unlock action by the one or more recipients; (8) verifying, by the at least one computer processor, the unlock action; and (9) displaying to the one or more recipients the foundation content from the layered data file.

         18 . A method for creating and sharing protected content, between electronic devices by an application, comprising:
 receiving foundation content at a first user electronic device;   receiving a selection of a recipient for the foundation content at the first user electronic device,   receiving a selection of cover content as selected by the application;   wherein at least one computer processor overlays the foundation content with the cover content thereby fully hiding or obscuring the foundation content, providing access and displaying the cover content at a recipient electronic device; and   receiving an unlock action at the recipient electronic device to display the foundation content at the recipient electronic device.   
     
     
         19 . A method of  claim 18 , wherein the foundation content comprises an image. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the foundation content comprises text. 
     
     
         21 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the foundation content comprises a video. 
     
     
         22 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the cover content comprises an image. 
     
     
         23 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the cover content comprises a blur. 
     
     
         24 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the cover content comprises an emoji. 
     
     
         25 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the unlock action comprises a touch-screen input gesture. 
     
     
         26 . The method of  claim 25 , wherein the touchscreen input gesture comprises at least one of a tap, a double tap, a swipe, a pinch, and a drawn shape. 
     
     
         27 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the unlock action comprises at least one of device input, a button, and entry of a passcode. 
     
     
         28 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the cover content completely obscures the foundation content. 
     
     
         29 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the cover content completely obscures only a portion of the foundation content. 
     
     
         30 . A method for creating and sharing protected content between electronic devices, comprising:
 creating a layered data file from a selected foundation content and cover content, wherein the foundation content is selected at a first user electronic device;   selecting a recipient electronic device;   providing access to and displaying the cover content at a recipient electronic device; and   receiving an unlock action at the recipient electronic device to display the foundation content at the recipient electronic device.   
     
     
         31 . A method of  claim 30 , wherein the foundation content is selected from a group consisting of an image, text, and a video. 
     
     
         32 . The method of  claim 30 , wherein the cover content is selected from a group consisting of an image, a blur, and an emoji. 
     
     
         33 . The method of  claim 30 , wherein the unlock action comprises a touch-screen input gesture. 
     
     
         34 . The method of  claim 33 , wherein the, touchscreen input gesture comprises at least one of a tap, a double tap, a swipe, a pinch, and a drawn shape. 
     
     
         35 . The method of  claim 30 , wherein the unlock action comprises a device input. 
     
     
         36 . The method of  claim 30 , wherein the cover content completely obscures the foundation content.
