Abstract
The invention relates to the use of branched maltodextrins for inducing lysis of the cell walls of eukaryotic organisms having a polysaccharide wall in the lumen of the intestine of an omnivorous or carnivorous animal comprising an intestinal flora and also for synergistically increasing the effect of the branched maltodextrins in the induction of the growth of the intestinal flora of an omnivorous or carnivorous animal. The invention also relates to the composition intended for this use and to a method for improving health or for food supplementation.

16 . A method of treating a subject, comprising administering a medicament composition including:
a maltodextrins-unicellular eukaryotic organisms with a polysaccharide wall mixture, said eukaryotic organisms comprising one of microalgae or yeast, said microalgae selected from at least one of Chlorella, Scenedesmus, Dunaliella, Haematococcus , and Schizochytrium , and said yeast selected from one of Saccharomyces boulardii, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Pichia, said maltodextrins comprising one or more branched maltodextrins containing between 15% and 45% of 1, 6-glucosidic linkages and a polydispersity index of between 0.5 and 4, and said eukaryotic organisms to branched maltodextrins have a weight ratio ranging from 5/95 to 90/10.
17 . A method of treating the health of a subject, comprising administering to a subject in need, a composition comprising:
one or more unicellular eukaryotic organisms with a polysaccharide wall, said eukaryotic organisms comprising one of microalgae or yeast, said miocroalgae selected from at least one of Chlorella, Scenedesmus, Dunaliella, Haematococcus , and Schizochytrium , and said yeast selected from one of Saccharomyces boulardii, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Pichia, one or more branched maltodextrins comprising between 15% and 45% of 1, 6-glucosidic linkages a polydispersity index of between 0.5 and 4, and said eukaryotic organisms to branched maltodextrins havea weight ratio ranging from 5/95 to 90/10.
18 . A method of treating intestinal syndromes, comprising, administering to a subject a composition comprising:
one or more unicellular eukaryotic organisms with a polysaccharide wall, said eukaryotic organisms comprising one of microalgae or yeast, said miocroalgae selected from at least one of Chlorella, Scenedesmus, Dunaliella, Haematococcus , and Schizochytrium , and said yeast selected from one of Saccharomyces boulardii, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Pichia, one or more branched maltodextrins comprising between 15% and 45% of 1, 6-glucosidic linkages, a polydispersity index of between 0.5 and 4, and said eukaryotic organisms to branched maltodextrins has a weight ratio ranging from 5/95 to 90/10.
19 . The method according to claim 16 , wherein the composition further includes 10, at least one of dextrins, galactooligosaccharides (GOSs), fructooligosaccharides (FOSs), oleaginous or proteaginous oligosaccharides, fructan, inulin, polydextrose, glucooligosaccharides and lactosucrose.
20 . The method according to claim 17 , wherein the composition further includes 10, at least one of dextrins, galactooligosaccharides (GOSs), fructooligosaccharides (FOSs), oleaginous or proteaginous oligosaccharides, fructan, inulin, polydextrose, glucooligosaccharides and lactosucrose.
21 . The method according to claim 16 , wherein the eukaryotic organisms with a polysaccharide wall include at least one of fungi and plants.
22 . The method according to claim 16 , wherein said one or more branched maltodextrins further comprise a reducing sugar content of less than 20% between 2% and 20%, and a number-average molecular mass Mn of between 600 than 4500 g/mol.
23 . The method according to claim 17 , wherein said one or more branched maltodextrins further comprise a reducing sugar content of less than 20% between 2% and 20%, and a number-average molecular mass Mn of between 600 than 4500 g/mol.
24 . The method according to claim 19 , wherein said one or more branched maltodextrins further comprise a reducing sugar content of less than 20% between 2% and 20%, and a number-average molecular mass Mn of between 600 than 4500 g/mol.

A method according to claim 16 , wherein said treating relates to: intestinal syndromes selected from the group consisting of irritable bowel syndrome, traveler's diarrhea, intestinal inflammations, chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, intestinal cancers, diet-related diseases, prevention of age-related diseases, food supplementation, induction of the intestinal flora, increasing the resistance to physical exertion, improving the digestibility of nutrients of plant origin, and obtaining a protective effect on the intestinal health of an omnivorous or carnivorous animal.
26 . The method according to claim 16 , wherein the composition is administered as one of a tablet, a suppository, a liquid, an emulsion and a syrup.
27 . The method according to claim 16 , wherein the eukaryotic organism with a polysaccharide wall is Chlorella vulgaris.
28 . The method according to claim 16 , wherein the eukaryotic organism with a polysaccharide wall is Saccaromyces cerevisiae.
