Abstract
A system, topology, and methods including apparatus for releasably secure attachment to an electronic device. The apparatus or a component of the apparatus may include an electrical energy storage element. The apparatus or a component of apparatus may be slidably coupled to an electronic device. The apparatus or a component of apparatus may be slidably coupled to an electronic device via a side, top, or base and rear of the electronic device. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . An apparatus comprising:
a first portable housing for an electronic device, the portable housing configured to engage with at least the edges of a portable device; a second portable housing, the first portable housing configured to engage within the second portable housing; a battery disposed within the second portable housing, the battery storing electrical energy; a first connector, the first connector disposed within the second portable housing and configured to at least engage with the electronic device in the first potable housing and to transmit electrical energy to the electronic device, the first connector operatively coupled with the battery.
22 . The apparatus of claim 21 , wherein the first portable housing is configured to slide into the second portable housing.
23 . The apparatus of claim 22 , wherein the first portable housing and the second portable housing have complimentary engaging portions to facilitate the first portable housing to engage with the second portable housing.
24 . The apparatus of claim 21 , further comprising:
an electrical energy communication module, the electrical energy communication module disposed within the second portable housing and operatively coupled to the battery and the first connector.
25 . The apparatus of claim 21 , further comprising a display, the display disposed on the second housing and configured to at least provide an indication an amount of electrical energy stored in the battery.
26 . The apparatus of claim 24 , wherein the first connector includes a first universal serial bus mechanical and electrical interface, the first universal serial bus mechanical and electrical interface having a first universal serial bus type.
27 . The apparatus of claim 21 , further comprising an external memory storage interface socket, the external memory storage interface socket disposed in the second portable housing and including an opening to receive a removable memory storage module and at least one second connector for electrically coupling to the removable memory storage module.
28 . The apparatus of claim 21 , further comprising a charging module, the charging module comprising an electrical charging connector disposed in the second portable housing, the charging module configured to receive electrical power to charge the battery.
29 . The apparatus of claim 21 , wherein the first connector comprises an interface specific to the portable electronic device.
30 . The apparatus of claim 21 , further comprising a second connector, the second connector configured to at least receive electrical energy to charge the battery and wherein at least a portion of the second connector extends from the second portable housing in response to being deployed and is configured to at least be substantially recessed within the second portable housing in response to being retracted.
31 . The apparatus of claim 24 , wherein the electrical energy communication module is further configured to at least:
receive electrical energy via a second connector; and provide the electrical energy to the electronic device via the first connector.
32 . The apparatus of claim 21 , further comprising an application specific integrated circuit, the application specific integrated circuit disposed within the second portable housing and comprising a data storage element.Cited by (0)
