Abstract

This invention relates to a new use of the compound 2-(R)-(4-Fluoro-2-methyl-phenyl)-4-(S)-((8aS)-6-oxo-hexahydro-pyrrolo[1,2-a]-pyrazin-2-yl)-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid [1-(R)-(3,5-bis-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-ethyl]-methylamide (orvepitant) or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof and pharmaceutical compositions containing it for the treatment of Interstitial lung diseases (ILDs), including IPF, and to combinations for such uses.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method of treating Interstitial lung diseases (ILDs), comprising administering to a human in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of compound 2-(R)-(4-Fluoro-2-methyl-phenyl)-4-(S)-((8aS)-6-oxo-hexahydro-pyrrolo [1,2-α]-pyrazin-2-yl)-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid [1-(R)-(3,5-bis-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-ethyl]-methylamide (orvepitant) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

2 . A method of treatment according to claim 1 , wherein the Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).

3 . A method of treatment according to claim 1 , comprising administering to a human in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of 2-(R)-(4-Fluoro-2-methyl-phenyl)-4-(S)-((8aS)-6-oxo-hexahydro-pyrrolo[1,2-a]-pyrazin-2-yl)-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid [1-(R)-(3,5-bis-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-ethyl]-methylamide (orvepitant) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in combination with a second drug substance which is selected from either pirfenidone or nintedanib.

4 . A method of treatment according to claim 1 , wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the compound is maleate.

5 . A method of treatment according to claim 1 , wherein the compound is orvepitant maleate Form 1 .
